  • Is the Virus still in there.

  • The center banister was topped with a cherub holding an electric torch. Jack was taken by the beauty of the Edwardian era design. Then he noticed the people. The women were all elegantly dressed. They wore floor length dresses, most of them silk. Their hair was pulled back in buns with brass hair clips that stretched across their hair. The men all wore tuxedos. Jack took note of their behaviors. Cal and Ruth walked past him arm in arm. Ruth was dressed from head to toe in black and red silk.

  • Somebody's a very special special boy! Daddy is real proud of you little buddy!

  • I also happen to possess the 72 original color slides from Ballard's 1986 Titanic expedition. Half of them have never been seen by the public. I also have the originals to some of the more famous pictures. Such as the china doll head in the sand, JJ looking into the officers quarters, and the chandelier on the B-Deck landing of the grand staircase. I am writing a novel based on the movie. I know things about that ship that most people don't even know existed. I KNOW ROBERT D. BALLARD!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • OK then Jackass. if you were diving while I was rubbing shit in my hair then you would know that there are no salvage rights or insurance claims on the doria. It is the Mt. Everest of diving. And I go to see them because none of them were sunk for artificial reefs other than Oriskany and Karwela. They are peices of history. Some of the greates tragedies known to man. And why the quotes around china? And if you don't think I know anything about Titanic then quiz me.

  • I hate it when people do this. they take ships that are old and sink them so they can rust and fall apart at the bottom of the ocean. eventually this wreck will become unsafe and it will become a hazard to marine life. eventually the walls will fall over and the decks will cave in on themselves and this beautiful ship will become a rusty stain on the bottom

  • @MrTitanicfanatic2 I guess you dont really know much about artificial reefs -- they're actually benificial to the marine life.

Also, this is a much more respectful and 'green' burial for such a majestic ship, then what happened to its sister ship, the USAFS GENERAL H. H. ARNOLD, who got sold for scrap to the Japanese and turned into shaving razors, which is now so much litter in a landfill somewhere.

  • @mindsend what i meant was why dont they just fix it and put it into service or make it a museum instead of sending it to the sea floor

  • @MrTitanicfanatic2

Part of why they sent it to the sea floor is because it would actually prove a boon to the wildlife of the area by providing an iron deposit that would cause a natural reef to grow in its place eventually, thus cementing it in eternity, but also because as a Dry land museum, it wouldn't be as beneficial or as honorable -- plus it didn't have room for one on it. As for service, ships have improved too much that sending it back in is useless. But this IS a museum, in a way.

  • @mindsend i guess thats kind of true. but someday this will no longer be there

  • @MrTitanicfanatic2

In time, even if it was on land, it wouldn't be there either. Everything fades eventually, or gets refurbished enough that nothing of the original content remains save for possibly a single, worn down scrap of metal. Here, it is in its element (though completely submerged), aiding the habitat and no more of it will end in a rubbish heap as it would have been if turned onto a land based museum as its form is recreated, possibly remade with its metal, but not the real thing.

  • @mindsend this way is just faster. and leaves a stain that cant be removed. and a big hole in the ocean floor. and a place to snag fishing nets that kill marine life

  • @MrTitanicfanatic2 You are obviously LOST regarding artificial reefs and the sinking of vessels for that purpose. I'd wager that you have ZERO dives on wrecks under your belt... in order to comment on the "hazard to marine life" and the "rusty stain on the bottom." Good job at criticizing a process you have no knowledge about, though. Now, go pop in a Nat Geo video on the Titanic and dazzle your wife about how smart you are.

  • @realgman1 OK you idiot. I have dove the Andrea Doria and I have china to prove it. I happen to be brilliant when it comes to Titanic so dont even give me that crap. And for the record, I have dove this wreck. and I'm barely 18. I aint married. Now how many times have you dove on the Doria? Or the Empress of Ireland. Or the Oriskany. Or how about the Karwela. Maybe the Arizona. Yeah thats right. Pearl Harbor. I have probably done more dives in 8 years than you have in your entire life.

  • @realgman1 Now. How about taking that back and we can start again. Maybe I can give you a few pointers. oh and by the way I am booked for an expedition in 2020 to dive the wreck of the HMHS Britannic

  • @MrTitanicfanatic2 OK, Junior... You brag about stealing "china" from a wreck AND claim to be "brilliant" in the same post. You are a real diver.. wow! It's such an honor to be educated by a man of the world like you. Why are you so interested in seeing these wrecks if they are so bad, like you said? (I was diving when you were still crapping in your hands and rubbing it in your hair, skippy. Of course that was like a couple of years ago, now.) That is all.

  • @realgman1 So idiot.stick that in your juice box and suck it.

  • @MrTitanicfanatic2 Do you have the original Pokemon series, little guy? I bet you do! Your a very big boy and we have all heard you, now. Get your crayons out and work on your "book" now, Sport. (Seriously... seek counselling. You are taking this way too seriously.)

  • @realgman1 no i dont have the original pokemon series (what the hell is pokemon) and I will copy and paste a section of my book into the next comment ass hole

  • @realgman1 and for the record I will be posting a video of the slides ASAP

  • so there is an excerpt from my book. It would not allow for much so Ihad to edit the comment a little. And I do not need counseling. I just take being insulted by an absolute fuck tard seriously. You clearly have no fuckin idea what youre talking about. So piss off bitch

  • @realgman1 I know exactly what I am talking about. Now seriously quiz me on Titanic.

  • @MrTitanicfanatic2 Dude, theres no way you have fricking rare titanic slides! are you like 11? no no.....heres the test do you know what its like to cum? grow a penis

  • @Tradesubsjustin1 Okay idiot hows this. I will publicize them.

  • @MrTitanicfanatic2 I have an uncle who lives in Woods Hole. He worked with Robert Ballard. There are 72 total slides. I will video tape them and post a vid

  • @Tradesubsjustin1 yes I do and I am 18

  • @Tradesubsjustin1 do you pussy

  • Respond to this video... private school my ass

  • @MrTitanicfanatic2 Dude I know how to quizz you on titanic

  • @Tradesubsjustin1 then do it

  • @Tradesubsjustin1 Now I have an uncle who works with Ballard. The only place where there are copies of these are in the digital archives at woods hole. They were going to throw out the originals but then my uncle told Balard about my interest. Ballard gave the slides to My uncle. My uncle gave them to me. They are sitting in a safe upstairs right now.

  • i am too young to go now because im only 12 but i did go diving at some of the reefs there it is so cool i got my advanced certification so when im 15 i will be able to go and what is cool is in the ocean when you are night diving you can shake your hand in the water with your light hidden and some of the plankton will light up and look like lights coming off your fingertips

  • @brandon26699 Actually you can dive. I started at the age of 10. Just got to find the right instructor.

  • Comment removed

  • My dad sailed on this ship during the Korean War. My son (who never had the chance to meet his grandfather) is headin' to the keys to check it out in July. Who knows, maybe he'll have a real connection:) Thanks for the great video, but I think I'll still be a little nervous.

  • There are 'critters" that can cause bodily harm and light wetsuits or dive skins protect the skin from jellyfish, stinging worms and corals (which shouldn't be touched anyway). Also, even in 82 degree water, thermoclines occur and can be ten degrees cooler than the surrounding water. Plus, portions of the ship are below recreational dive limits.

  • I realize that there can be thermoclines but still. the 85 degree water in the keys is hot, if theres a thermocline, theyre usually deep so u can ascend or wait it out for the 30 minutes of bottom time you get at depth. a dive skin would be more appropriate for a summer dive in florida

  • To those of us living in Florida, 85 degrees is perfect but any colder and we get chilled easily. I usually wear a half mil wetsuit. I'm a Floridian, a senior citizen and thin. All add up to being easily chilled.

  • The water is just above 80 degrees. For very long exposure you can get hypothermia. Humans don't maintain a micro atmosphere around our skin underwater.. the wet suit is a substitute.

And yes we do have our own micro climate / thermal barrier around our skin that keeps us warm. Thats why a breeze feels cool.

  • Hey thats my dad and Cliff and Shawn.. yey!! Awesome!! Great job on the video DAD!!!

  • Nice video but I think that they need to cut part of that roof off before someone gets hurt.

  • Wow what a huge wreck! Can't wait to blow bubbles on it!

  • mrspearfishingking, run out of air! maybe try golf.

  • i just dove it today it was awesome but there was a lot of current. but, when iwas down at 90 ft of water i ran out of air and had to buddy breath all the way up. and thanks for sinking the vandenberg.

  • You ran out of air at 90ft?

    Please leave diving.

  • This is incredible!! I can't wait to take scuba lessons and take a dive!

  • Awesome!!! Can't wait till I get down there. I've already got my dives booked, Reef_Haven (Scubaboard)
