  • Wow such grace under pressure. Unbelievable. "Good luck sweetheart" to the flight attendant. A hero.

  • @feelthejoy he is a true Hero , this is what pilots are trained to do Remain Clam under pressure this man is a Hero

    thanks for the comment.

  • Should also make mention of Denny Fitch here. Here was the expert pilot who happened to be a passenger on this flight and who became an additional member of the crew. It was largely due to his expertise (as well as Al Haynes's) which lead to the plane being 'landed' on an airfield, near paramedics and in a way which enabled 185 people to survive. Everyone who subsequently tried to fly a recreation of this plane in a simulator lost control of it and crashed a long way away from the airport.

  • @SheffieldSteel1000

yes mate that is correct Denny Fitch was the DC-10 instructor for united airlines

He had allot of experience on Flying the DC-10s

he was the man who done most of the flying aswell he was the true hero !

but saying that all the flight crew are hero's there skill and airmanship

    saved allot of peoples lives

Thanks for the comment mate !

  • @SheffieldSteel1000 112 lives lost!

  • @otis369 Yes I know. It's very sad that 112 people died. My point was that the pilots' super human skills prevented a no survivor crash. They had never received any training for this kind of emergency and nor had anyone. It had always been assumed that it was impossible for all three hydraulic systems to fail at the same time, and that a no survivor crash was inevitable if by a billion to one chance they did. My heart goes out to all 112 victims and their families.

  • Pilots and crew are true hero's

  • @mwillh

    Yes they are true heroes

That managed to and almost land the aircraft by just using the Engines

it was a True skill of airmanship

    Thanks for the comment :)

  • It's hard to make out the words with the high pitch humming. But the video helps describe what was happening. Huge tragedy.. I hate engine #2. It's too close to many functions that require hydraulic fluid to maneuver the plane. Stupidest invention in aviation history.

  • where'd you get this audio?

  • @255nwa In my penis
