  • that is freak n awesome! and so well done! XD

  • Very impressive. Your attention to detail is outstanding! Love it.

  • The real Leota face is now projected internally - from the inside of the head. However, when the floating crystal ball isn't working and she's back on the table, it goes back to a front projection.

  • Very talented!

  • brilliant - I love the way you used modern small tech to simplify the problem. Nice lateral thinking.

  • Amazing dude, very talented!

  • what is that clip of her and how did you get it on your iPod?

  • COOL! You had all those miniature seance table set up... very neat

  • that my friend is GENIUS! great work. if i can find myself some LED lights, props, and other stuff im gonna attempt to try it out, n attempt is the key word lol. not very crafty. i might give it to a friend of mine to show

  • OMG, i love disneyparks, and youre a genious!!! Please make more awesome disney-related scenes!!!!!! (by the way, if my english sucks, its because im finnish..)

  • Clever!

  • Can you also use plexiglass? Glass made of plastic?

  • Can you also use plexiglass? Glass made of plastic?

  • You are very clever !

  • wow

  • Nice use of peppers ghost 5/5

  • Awesome video! Pepper's Ghost is such a cool effect. You did such a great job with it!

  • So...how did you make it so that it doesn't look like a floating LCD screen. I mean, how did you get it to look like the image is projected only on the crystal ball and not a floating rectangle?

  • I just had to recreate this, 'cause this is sooo cool! I still have a lot to do. I couldn't get a piece of glass or anything, so I just took an old CD case, took out the labels and everything, including the back piece, and taped it open with scotch tape. Unfortunately, there is the line down the middle at the spine of the case, but it's not really that much of a hassle...I just have to set the scene toward the right side of the box so it's not that much of a distraction.

  • Amazing video !!

  • wow! im so impressed! gee,now i want to go make something like that! :D

  • When you were editing the video to play on the iPod, did you flip it mirror image to correct the reflection factor? (Which is why in the ballroom, they had the women leading at the real HM.)

  • whats a peppers ghost?

  • @letthebeatrok It is the illusion that is made by reflecting something off of a piece of glass angled at 45 degrees from the viewer. It causes a ghost effect. If that doesn't make any sense, check out watch?v=kMCVqqUzfyQ

  • @6Nicad6emus6 just a regular piece of glass?

  • @LegoJediBat96 Yes, regular glass or even Plexiglas if it's in good condition.

  • That's really, REALLY impressive.

  • I thought ML was projected onto the crystal ball rather than using Pepper's Ghost, no? BTW, do you knoa w how the image is projected onto the new, moving crystal ball? Is it synced mechanically, by computer (through some sort of servo system), or maybe optically? Great video!

  • It is projected in the real attraction, I just did it with pepper's ghost because it was easier. On the Leota moving ball in Anaheim, they project it from the front that's in sync with movement of the ball. Florida has a newer version that has a small projector inside the ball for rear-projection.

  • cool

  • wow! nice use of the peppers ghost effect, the image was great and the ipod didn't show! Good job!

  • Totally awesome! American ingenuity at its fines Walt would be proud. Thanks for sharing the how to along with it.

  • that is crazy good, you must be very talented to come up with that. I have an ipod but don't have anything scary on it.

  • Im a Huge Haunted Mansion fan, and I thought this is sooo cool!!!.

  • what did you use for the dome-shaped piece of glass to project the head onto? i tried using the top of a waterbottle...but that didn't work at all.

  • It's an acrylic half-dome I had. You can get something like it from a vending machine that sells those really cheap toys. It's the glass in front that does the trick, by reflection, not projection.

  • That's a fantastic idea!!

    It's really good!

  • what did you put inside the ball for the head?

  • It's a rolled up ball of Halloween spider web stuff I got a Target years ago.

  • ahhh, everything you do is so damn crazy. Really amazing. It's pissing me off lol.

  • that is so cool!!!!! how were u able to project the leota image on a tiny crystal ball?

  • I...love that....so much...

  • didf you add your own audio effects??? Because they seem different then the loop i have...

  • It's the exact same video loop as the one floating around YouTube (the one that people keep stealing and uploading on their own channel). I dubbed in the soundtrack audio from a different source so it can have the extra sound effects and better sound.

  • ohhh! thats really cool! :D

and hey! lol people dont steal it! lol

i found it from a website, and it had a download. lol.

may i ask where you got the audio????lol.

  • From the Disneyland 50th box set.

  • thank you :)

  • that is impressive. Though that's not the Leota effect. It's the pepper ghost effect. Leota is actually projeted. but who cares, its still awesome

  • thats very impressive

  • this is very cool!! where do you get those little blue and green lights from?

  • how do i get the vid onto my ipod?

  • I pulled it off another video, converted it, and stuck it on my iPod. There are other comments like that below, just read them.

  • Do more shoebox scenes with special effects. You can try movie scenes too! That could be cool!

  • I'm working on a couple of 20,000 leagues under the Sea ones, though they're under a bigger "box"!

  • Well, that's it... I'm going to make one. :)

  • I made the floating candle in the hallway it looks similar just with out Madame Leota and the candles

  • I love your models its inspiring me to make my own.

  • he did the same for me and i did check it out

  • OMG! That is so COOOOLLLLLL!!!!!!

  • Can you buy these? I'd like to purchase one plz..

  • This is absolutely great. I'm going to do this for a gift for a friend. She's going to flip out!

  • Excellent usage of pepper's ghost to create that effect. Well done!

  • That really rocks. Don't know if you saw the one I composited together of Leota floating around, but I project mine on a scrim and it looks pretty cool as well! KUDOS!!!!

  • That is amazing, great job!

  • wow plus where do you get things to make them

  • Michael's mainly (a craft store)

  • k i will head down to my craft store and get maritrels plus where how do you get te lights and the haunted mansion ones you had im just wondering

  • How Do You Do That!!!!

    Are you magic????

  • Very cool stuff, man. im impressed

  • Great way to use the "peppers ghost" Effect. I'm very impressed!

  • very cool

  • where did you get the leota footage. Please tell me

  • Do a YouTube search on "Madame Leota Loop". You should bring up a video that has a link in the description. That link has a page where it shows how to do the effect (kinda lame though!). Scroll down to the very bottom of the page. There will be a download link for the page. The audio on that video wasn't satisfactory, so I dubbed in a better quality soundtrack.

  • Wait, why are you asking?...You have it on your channel!

  • i cant get it on my ipod though

  • What format is it in? You can convert it into an mp4 using a free program called iSquint. That'll play on your iPod.

  • where can i get the program

  • Do you have a Mac or a PC?

If its a Mac, do a google search on "iSquint"; It should be the first result you get.

If its a PC, can't help you there.

If you want, I'll send you a link to download my version of the video, which can be played on an iPod.

  • ahh! i have a PC. So if you can send me the link thatd be great.

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!! SO COOL!

  • great job!

  • Peppers ghost, right?

  • Yup!

  • great job

  • You should put that in your model.

  • Showing off your talents again I see! LOL
