  • that was really good and easy recipe ! I'll put nutella on top the cake !!!!!!

  • I've just popped my cake in the oven and, the good news is, there's nothing to wash! Only a pot and and some measuring cups! Hooray!

  • I'm gonna try baking this cake for my brother's birthday next week, i hope it will turn out beautiful and as yummy as yours :]. I've been trying your recipe's one by one and my mum's like "OMG THIS IS SOOO DELICIOUS, WE SHOULD TRY HIS NEXT RECIPE TOMORROW!!" haha. They're so easy to make with a good ending result. (P.s The first thing i ever tried to bake were cookies, after watching your choc chip cookie recipe). So yeahh i'm gonna stay subbed to you forever haha ;D xx

  • My Pound Cake is in the oven:D The mix turned out really good! just like it did in the video, CAN'T WAIT TO TRY IT!!

  • I love love love chocolate and pound cake so this sounds perfect!

  • @OnePotChefShow How long will this keep for and where should I store it?

  • @TheKiwiCook I'd recommend consuming within 3 days. Store in an airtight container in the kitchen cupboard (or fridge if you choose to add frosting/icing etc)

  • Omg i love this youtube its yummm xD

  • for regular pound cake it would be the same thing but without the chocolates in the beginning right?

  • would there be any change in the cooking times by using a designated pound cake tin?

  • Hellooooo

Looks lovely! I am just asking if baking soda is the same as baking powder and what gas mark do i cook it in. Thanks lots!!!!!!!

  • @Funkydunkywoofyxxx No, baking soda and baking powder are different things. For temperature and measurement conversions, check out the link on my channel page ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow Yeah I also wondered if baking soda and baking powder was the same, so I did some research before I made this mouthwatering recipe. Baking soda is pure sodium bicarbonate, and baking powder does contain it, "but it includes the acidifying agent already, and also a drying agent" Whatever that means :)The point is that you can use baking powder in substitute for baking soda but not vice versa. However it is suggested to use a little more of baking powder than soda.

  • @johnniz13 But when you turn the heat on high, It raises like all hell, so be careful, because it does so FAST. Just want to compliment OnePotChef for another AMAZING recipe. the second one I have been trying on my OFF days in my diet and in my quest to getting "ripped" :)

  • @Funkydunkywoofyxxx you cannot be that stupid

  • wonderful

  • Looks good enough to eat.

  • wooooooooooooow it seems very soft and fluffy sure will try this later !

    *subescriber*

  • yum yum it looks so good!!

  • You sure answered that fast

  • @YouAreMyEnemyBwahaha You caught me while I was checking email ;)

  • *and a

  • Whats the difrerence between a cake a pound cake?

  • @YouAreMyEnemyBwahaha "Pound Cake" was named after the original recipe, in which the ingredients were measured in "pounds" - eg: 1 pound of flour etc ;)

  • @YouAreMyEnemyBwahaha they couldn't have called it croikey cake it was too much and so they settled with pund

  • i'd like a poooound cake

  • Please make something with white chocolate!!

  • From 3:17-3:26 I died! That cake was perfect! The exact moistness a cake should be and looked so decadent...mmmmmmm

  • you're a really good cook!! all of these things look amazing but i really want to do them but my mom's a "healthy freak" so i dont know what to do any ideas?

  • whys it called pound cake

  • @sfx691 I'm told the original recipe called for a "pound" of flour. I'm not sure if that's true - but it sounds good!

  • @sfx691 if i'm not mistaking, it's because the original recipe had the same amount of all ingredients.

  • What if i used a loaf pan?

  • @holycaster25 You can use a loaf pan if you like ;)

  • this looks delicious, could you make 2 and put one on top of the other with something in the middle?

  • @HotCurryPot Absolutely - sounds great :)

  • this is the best cake ive ever tasted! and its actually very unlikely you will mess up making it

  • I wish i could make this, it's making me drool Lol but i can't make anything like cookies, cakes and much more my oven broke i'm trying to fix it again. Wish me luck :)

  • How long and how many degrees Celsius do I preheat the oven??

  • @qiaorin 180 degrees C (or 170 C if using a fan-forced oven) for 35 minutes or until the cake is cooked in the centre ;)

  • At first I thought the batter was too liquidly...but omg at 3:23 when you were cutting it it looked amazingly soft and moist....mmmmm

  • this is a really unique recipe!!!! i think i'm gonna try it :)

  • Heat and blender, anything will be mixed!

  • oh, one more question - do you think this would fare well in a bundt pan? I think it would look pretty :-) then with a light glaze, or a sprinkling of powdered sugar and some shaved dark chocolate curls.... (or do you think that would be over the top...? lol - guess that's two questions haaha :-) ) thanks again!

  • hey this looks great! Thank yo for sharing :-) would it be a big difference to make a lemon one or vanilla? hmmm or maybe even orange.... what changes would one need to make (besides excluding the cocoa)... I appreciate you sharing your fun recipes with us!

  • I watch you all the time. I have made a few of your receipes, they couldnt be more explicit, which is great. • Onepotchef I went on a trip to france and I had this delicious thing. It was served in a martini glass but no alcholohol. It had crab meat at the bottom and like pomogranite infusion on the top. I was not smart enough to ask for the recipe. Do you think you know what it is? it was honestly the best thing I have ever had

  • @MrButterworth24 I have no idea - but it sounds very interesting. Perhaps it was some kind of Seafood cocktail or crab salad?

  • @dirtysouthlepluv That's my aim with the One Pot Chef Show, to get all the new people and those who don't cook much into the kitchen. I figure if it's fun and easy - it helps build up confidence and makes them want to experiment with more cooking :)

  • @Dexduzdiz Thanks - glad you enjoyed it :)

  • lol at 3:25, totally off camera lol

it looks like a brownie to me, the pound cakes you seen at the store seems to have less bubbles in the cake then yours?

  • David, I'll definitely have to make this. Two questions though. First, can you use a sugar substitute with this recipe (I.e. Splenda) and second, why did you look like you shaved only half your face at the beginning of the video? Love your videos, mate, I look forward to each one.

  • can you freeze this?? and if so for how long??

    thxs

    ~lovehorrormovies10~

  • @lovehorrormovies10 Yes you can freeze this cake. Allow the cake to cool completely. Cover the cake in cling wrap, then a layer of foil, and then another layer of cling wrap. Store in the freezer for up to 3 months ;)

  • Dude, where did you go? long time, no see. Hope, you're doing well.

  • when you showed us the cake, we couldn't really see it... :(

  • @SirGomez81 I know! Camera angle fail :( But I got it right at the end lol

  • One Pot chef, if you lost weight you could get some fine bitches.

  • @ABostonElite Since I'm gay, I doubt a lack of fine bitches will be much of an issue for me!

Besides - I find most ladies like a little junk in the trunk :P
