I think the UFC should've given Kimbo another fight or two. He started in MMA real late in life so theres only so much he could learn. @NateTheG0v There's very few things that aren't allowed: eye gouging, finger and wrist locks, groin shots, and hits to the back of the head (this because one strong hit to the back of the head could kill someone). Also the twelve to six elbow is illegal, which is stupid because all the others can cause just as much damage--it was because when the athletic commission was making rules one of the guys had seen a martial arts video were someone broke an ice block with that elbow lol.

Thing about kimbo is everyone knows, hes too far behind than a lot of the other fighters. He has the natural skillset to compete and win in UFC but the mental edge and the wrestling aspect along with the other factors is what he lacks and its understandable. Especially energy and endurance.

Kimbo could've had success back in the days when heavyweights were big, one-trick ponies. He had the strength to slam people around and bully people his own size. He could even slam people bigger than him (Mitrione outweighed him by what, 20+ pounds?). He was in the right sport, just the wrong decade. He just came late to a sport that, had he arrived in it when he was in his prime instead of leaving it, he could've had great success.

FYI, being an MMA fighter and owning a gun are not mutually exclusive things. An MMA fighter can also shoot you in the street, too.

Thing about kimbo is everyone knows, hes too far behind than a lot of the other fighters. He has the natural skillset to compete and win in UFC but the mental edge and the wrestling aspect along with the other factors is what he lacks and its understandable. Especially energy and endurance.

All his fights on the net are against people who think they can fight, and tend to last a few minutes. He has amazing hands and a friggin rockhard chin. But as you said his endurance is pretty bad and his ground game needs a fair bit of work. Kimbo could've had success back in the days when heavyweights were big, one-trick ponies. He had the strength to slam people around and bully people his own size. He could even slam people bigger than him (Mitrione outweighed him by what, 20+ pounds?). He was in the right sport, just the wrong decade. He just came late to a sport that, had he arrived in it when he was in his prime instead of leaving it, he could've had great success.

Kimbo clearly came into MMA far too late in life.He is also not really a heavy weight at all,just a pumped up cruiser weight.Kimbo was good at fighting fattys and outer shape losers that had no idea of what the hell they were doing.Matt dont forget is a Pro Athlete and used to walking around at a heavy weight,his cardio is also well proven from his football years.He is a big strong and very fast and agile man that is used to tough physical encounters.Big up though to Kimbo,real old lion.

Kimbo is a hell of a power puncher, but he looks like a guy who hasn't even been to an introductory class at his local Gracie academy. In that last sequence, he tried to escape the mount once and he didn't even have Mitrione's leg trapped. When that didn't work, he just turtled. I wish he would have taken more time and properly prepared himself for the move to MMA.

He fought bums off the street and still lost to half back out of shape cop in a street fight.
