I can't switch back to cd mode on my CDJ 400s. The cd plays but no sound. I need this to work in case my laptop would crash. Can someone help me out?

do you manually put in your key tags? in preferences on MIK I chose the add key id tag in desired key field and it still doesn't show up in 1.9.1. I have so many tracks I don't want to sit there and put every tag in.

I just use MIK and check the "update initial key tag" option in MIK and it writes the keys in the "key" tag/column. You may need to do a rescan ID3 tags in Scratch Live. Also what format files are you using? This only works with mp3s, not wav, aiff, or aac/m4a.

hey im not a dj but im working on become one. i download scratch live but i dont get the turntables like you do i can only play one song at a time. do you have to have turntables to have turntables on the screen?

You have to have one of the compatable interfaces (SL1, SL3, TTM 57SL) connected to your computer to have the turntable views on.

Hey, I use 1.9.0 and I'm still not familiar with the key-overview for harmonic mixing...can u tell me how to build that overview because it doesn't do it if i do the regular overview...thx

Scratch Live doesn't detect the key, you need to use another program like Mixed In Key or Rapid Evolution to scan and key your tracks.

there's some tracks that you cue for but it won't save, its weird but i had the same problem. maybe the track its in "protected" mode. is it like that on all tracks?

the new 1.9.1 final version(on vista ultimate) crashed 3 times after less then 2 hour of playing...1 time last week and 2 time this week....the software just freeze ...no sound none of the commands work just exit .the times on the deck(cd players) are still rollin cant pause cant load new track nothing works. and without restart serato dont start again...could use some help

Also Ive have experience twice with the song just stop playing...doesnt cause the computer to freeze or anything of that sort....It just shows a blank...has happen twice on me... I havent reported this cause 1.) I switch to the pervious version and 2.) I Cant remember what I was doing when it had happen.

they made the right updates to the sp-6 sample player in terms of instant doubling and pitch control. that should really open doors in terms of creativity.

You can set up Mixed in Key to write it to the key tag instead of the file name. Check the "update initial key (viewable in Traktor, etc.)" box and it will write to the key tag, and UNCHECK writing to the file name or anywhere else.
