@paulsgarden1 I think your climate must be very similar to ours. We are surrounded by the Pacific Ocean so the winters permit us to grow all of those plants. Pyracantha are everywhere and loaded with nice red berries. The Gold Ellen Escallonia must be very nice

@paulsgarden1 They are both really nice plants and here on our island you will see hedges everywhere of these two plants. All through out our main village of Ganges these plants grow. They also like seaside conditions.

@MrFrozenCanuck It's mostly used for hedges on our island, same with the Escallonia with the pink blooms. Very rapid growers.
