@03056932 no my friend uses a manual c5 vette as a daily driver and a c6 z06 as a some what daily driver/ weekend car because he doesn't want to crash, the vette has great trunk space and works like a hatch back, gets great mpg (his c5 gets 31 average) and z06 gets 22 average and the c5 is from 2001 and he hasn't had any reliability issues, on the contrary a porsche tested in last months motor trend issue (zr1 vs 911 turbo) had its turbos fail on it and turned into a volkswagen beetle
and whats the chances it would end up on motor trend? LOL have you taken statistics, usually the manufacturer would try and put a well made car that doesn't break down on, and i have never seen the ls9 supercharger fail during a test even though its been in more reviews then the new 911 turbo

They believe in honor and credibility and Toyota do recalls on problems that have never actually been witnessed in a real world example yet, such as the current fuel line one. @03056932 yeah im sure, the ls7 has the highest hp to weight ratio of any production car engine, and its a pushrod, it also gets great gas mileage per hp, show me a ferrari or lambo with the hp the corvette has and the mpg, oh and show me any other car that can beat a z06 around the track for the same price (~ 70k), and if a toyota which is actually made of plastic (corvettes are made of fibre glass and some of carbon fiber as well) is hit by that truck you would definitely die

@n9athan Is that some kind of joke. Spun main bearings, defective valve springs and head gasket failure are all rife with the LS7. It had to be factory detuned because it was too unreliable at it's original hp. Not to mention that it's an ancient pushrod. NEXT.

@n9athan driven m5, 360, passenger in zr1. All the cars you mentioned are not only fast cars but they can be daily drives too EXCEPT THE VETTE. The kind of peope that buy a Ferrari or a Lambo have them as a weekend car. People that buy Corvettes are scraping the money together for a bargain basement sportscar and try to use them everyday. The only part that is acceptable for daily driving is the engine because its detuned, but stress it constantly on a German autobahn and they fail frequently.

@03056932 no my friend uses a manual c5 vette as a daily driver and a c6 z06 as a some what daily driver/ weekend car because he doesn't want to crash, the vette has great trunk space and works like a hatch back, gets great mpg (his c5 gets 31 average) and z06 gets 22 average and the c5 is from 2001 and he hasn't had any reliability issues, on the contrary a porsche tested in last months motor trend issue (zr1 vs 911 turbo) had its turbos fail on it and turned into a volkswagen beetle

Quality control is done by hand not machines (machines much more accurate). When human assembly is used on the Corvettes its done with a large team that can change from day to day, with an Aston normally TWO people build everything.

They believe in honor and credibility and Toyota do recalls on problems that have never actually been witnessed in a real world example yet, such as the current fuel line one. BMW as another example, ignore problems like their faulty wheels and blame it on bad driving and bad roads and refuse to recall. I guarantee you Toyota would have recalled in that situation. Think.
