i have one of these when i got it it was about 2 inches long and almost 2 years later hes 10 inches long and these will randomly go on rampages aroung there tank destroying everything in sight mine even killed a pea pod puffer once and she was my favorite fish it was so sad also these are just a color variation of a weather loach same fish diff color i read online these are supposed to be gentile fish but not in my case

@roosteemon was your puffer a semi aggressive fish or a non aggressive fish? cuz if there put in with anything other than a non aggressive they will change and get violent

@st3aksauce138 everything in the tank exept the loach is peacfull expecialy the puffer that it killed and all my other fish exept the 2 albino cory catfish i have learned to stay on the other side of the tank and avoid it at all costs

I love Dojos! I used to have a weather loach. These fish have a personality all their own! I used to just watch them for a long time.

@Snowman99s ive had my golden dojos for about 3-4 months now and they have more then doubled in size since i bought them from the fish store. Its best to keep a good variety, so i mix it up between blood worms and fish flakes. i have found recently they go crazy over cichlid pellets. give that a try

@234Beastyboy Their absolute favourite food is frozen bloodworms. They will also eat frozen brine shrimp, frozen mysis shrimp, left over flakes, algae wafers, sinking wafers. They are not picky eaters.

I just bought a golden Dojo and he/she is a baby and is about 2 -3 inches long and quite small and i have a sunken ship in my aquarium that has a hole where he/she can hide.That is where he/she is almost all the time, I want to get a young common Dojo (brownish colored ones) so there would be a companion of the same species. Other tank mates are goldfish comets and fantails. I am anxious for him/her to get bigger so I can watch all neat thing they do.

They are really cute little guys! make sure you get that heater out of there though as these fish are colder water species. The only loaches that require heaters are the tropical (small) khuli style loaches.

@JDCredible Goldfish can't be with tropical fish. Goldfish live in colder water and they produce more waste. There are more reasons.

i just brought 2 weather loaches for my tank last week they are so cool, one is quite shy but the other is like a water dog lol he always comes to say hello and feeds out of my hand. Took me ages to find them for sale but glad I waited and didnt get something else instead they are just so comical!

I have two. One is outgoing the other is very shy but they LOVE each other. The outgoing one has a cloud or something over one of his eyes. It is totally breaking my heart. I just treated the tank with Life Guard now i have to treat it all over again. I hate when my fish get sick. They're like my babies, I feel really responsible for them
