Hey, I just saw this today on facebook. It's excellent, funny while getting the point across. I go to Pace now but I'm probably transferring to a CUNY School in the city soon. Is this a club at Hunter or organization? How could you join?
Hey we're a social action club called Students Organizing Students at Hunter College, you should definitely join us for the next polar bear expedition--i think we're gonna go to the Bronx Zoo... we do other awesome stuff too though, so if you're interested in getting involved let me know : )
btw, u can take the S79 bus from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn (accessible by the R train at the 86th St. stop) across the Verrazano Narrows bridge... but busses rn't very enviro-friendly.
You can also take the s53 bus to get to Bklyn from Staten Island--connecting with the subway in Bay Ridge (and they've started to introduce hybrids on the S53). Also there is now an MTA bus going over the Bayonne Bridge and connecting to New Jersey Transit Light Rail in Bayoone, which in turn connects to Manhattan-bound PATH trains in Jersey City.
Aaaww I would have polar beared with you guys. I live on Staten Island actually.. I can understand how frustrating it must have been explaining environmental problems to typical staten islanders.
I've lived there my whole life and always felt like an alien. I'm not orange.. lol
I actually attended the "step it up" campaign in battery park like, almost a year ago. It was so great to see so many people all come together to spread the word and encourage positive change.
I love how you can always hear the birds in the ferry, haha.
This was really sweet. :)
