This is an interesting hypothesis. However, there seems to be only two states either fused or not fused there is no in between. Not fused gives us apes fused gives us humans. Therefore is seems logical to me that this hypothesis leads not to evolution but instead to genetic engineering. According to this hypothesis humans did not evolve they were born.

Check out the ERV evidence, the DNA of each and you can trace the genetic losses of each species.

Bacteria never evolves. It has never become multi-cellular. It has never done anything more than eat carbon based food and produce enzymes. It has never developed any new functions.
It adapts by mutations but it also dies by mutations. Single cell creatures either die or adapt.

I suggest you stop the religious arguments. DNA is absolutely, irrefutable, physical evidence that all creatures have de-evolved from a condition of better fitness to much weaker, less intelligent and less able to survive.
They have mapped over 4,000 genetic defects and we are just getting started, that are propagating in the human species.

If they're all in a constant state of becoming less fit, then why haven't they all gone extinct? by your logic the biodiversity of life should be in a constant state of decline since Time=0, but the fossil record actually shows over time biodiversity is increasing following extinction events.

@agentorange20 Increasing biodiversity is not a criteria for evolution. In all cases of speciation in which the creatures split, they lose genetic information, gene loss is not evolution. Goto (google it) "Neutral Evolution Forum" and learn what is really going on.

You are basically addressing the deplorable factum, that the factor "selection" is largely missing, as regards the human population. An accumulation of inherited diseases in our species, does not contradict Evolution.
