My point is that the women KNOW about the option those young boys are selling. They are not at a clinic because they are ignorant of what the boys have to say. They have their reasons for being there, and the boys are not respecting it. It is just their poetic OPINION that the fetus is a human being, and they are using guilt. Why don't friars fight for social justice against landlords and business owners? Maybe because those are risky targets and pregnant women are not.

I grew up Catholic and stayed in the church most of my life. That is why I am against their judgement of people they don't know or understand. The nuns taught me not to pretend to know what was "right" for others because I don't know their pressures or motivations. That was before the church was hijacked by right-wing repressive jerks who presume to lump "sinners" into a catagory. If they love fetuses so much, they should adopt some, not harass women. Well it is hard to be a fundamentalist at twenty-two, and I hope to never fully be one. Im more of a traditionalist (largely because I choose to go to the latten Mass). Ive learn never to judge a book by its cover because of being misjudge many a time myself. I dont understand the lumping of sinners, but I know the church as a whole has become a mess since Vatican II. I wish there was a way to adopt a fetus! But means that the mother would have to carry it for nine months to have a baby.

I actually think that Vatican 2 gave us a real opportunity, but it seems to have been squandered as parishes imitate more and more the evangelicals and abandon mercy, liberation theology, and mysticism. The traditions are fine - I like them. IMO, Mass is best when meditative.

Perhaps the energies of people who believe they are saving fetuses with their disruptions at clinics could focus on raising funds to develop artificial wombs. It could unify both pro-choice and pro-life forces.

Conception is when God puts His spirit onto the fetus. Fetuses have nervous system which causes pain. Abortions may not result int the poor fetus dying... so the have to take out and kill the baby. These young women need spiritual formatiton and education. Most of the time these women are from low socio-econic backgrounds, the outsiders of society. They need more support, material and spiritual, from society; they are more important than landlords. Friars do their bit. what about you?:) God bles

@kittenbombon This is where secular philosophy and Catholic Theology diverge and this is where a LOT of people who simply fall into a bandwagon end up looking rather foolish. When a person believes that a fetus isn't alive until the brain actually starts to kick in should really ask themselves if that is something they can actually prove or something they have accepted based on the limited science we have. Theology states the fetus is alive the moment the soul enters which happens at conception.

These men walk it like they talk it. Not only do they counsel pregnant women who come to them, but they also provide them with shelter and with clothing and with care and with all types of assistance.

They are not like others who judge and don't lift a finger to help those women who actually carry their children to full term.

However we will not repent from desiring to give everything to the Lord. We will not repent for wanting to show the Lord how much we love Him. These guys sing Amazing "Grace" on the street yet they like every other Catholic reject the truth of Ephesians 2:8-9 (By GRACE are ye saved through faith and not of works) they try to justify themselves in the works of the law (feeding the poor, chastening themselves) to be saved and so they are fallen from grace. They trust in the "mother of God" instead of God Himself - THOU SHALT WORSHIP THE LORD THY GOD AND HIM "ONLY" SHALT THOU SERVE.

We do good works AFTER we "have been saved" by grace, not in order to be saved. No Catholic knows where they're going when they die because they are trusting in themselves and their works rather than the finished, perfect work of Christ on the cross for their sin. A Catholic is forbidden to say "I have been saved". Salvation is a free gift (Rom 6:23), trusting in good works equals rejecting the gift.

We don't need theology classes, all we need is the Word of God(see 2Tim 3:16-17). The faith that James is referring to is "passive belief in God" not "believing on (trusting, relying, putting complete faith in) Jesus Christ for salvation from hell" (John 3:14-16). And if salvation can be lost through sin why did Peter tell us(who are born-again)we are kept saved by God and we have an inheritance "reserved" in heaven (1Peter 1:3-5), Why did John say we can KNOW we have eternal life? (1John 5:13)

I heard you are unable to say you are saved from countless Catholic priests and laypeople. I didn't make it up. I was raised Catholic myself, raised to believe I get to heaven by being a "good person" and raised to believe you can never know where you're going when you die.

I misunderstood what you were trying to say. Yes, Catholics believe in the same Christian God as Protestants do, just a little differently. Protestants, from my understanding (correct me if I am wrong), believe that just believing in Jesus Christ gets you to heaven. Protestants do not believe that JUST believing in Jesus solely gets you into heaven. Perhaps it is just my protestant sect, but we are very similar to catholicism in the fact that we, too, believe in self-giving and charities as well as constant good works of selflessness. To say Protestants as a whole are all ignorant or believe that just having a belief in Jesus will get you into heaven is very, very false.

The only articles I can find about things that Catholics believe which say that Jesus wasn't enough were written, obviously, by Protestants, or non-Catholics. In that case, it is false. This is what I found (I almost died laughing because it is so false!):

"Catholicism denies that the crucifixion of Jesus was sufficient to pay the complete punishment for sin. Rome also denies His atoning sacrifice was finished."

If that was true, we would not call Him Savior!

That verse is not talking about being saved. If you genuinely look at it, the Bible makes it clear that works (although good and right)have nothing to do with being saved, only faith. Acts 16:30-31, Rom 3:28, 10:2-4, 10:13, Galatians 2:16, Titus 3:5. No Monks, no nuns, no Christian priests, no Popes, no friars, no monasterys, no "eucharist", no "mass" is found anywhere in the Bible, no kneeling to statues. God calls you out of this deception.

Find me the above Catholic doctrines in any Bible translation! Do you want me to use the modern Catholic versions that get rid of verse 37 of Acts 8 (because the verse clearly proves baptising babies, who can't express faith in Christ, is wrong)? "moving the goalposts"? If you think that James is saying SALVATION FROM HELL is by works in these verses (which he clearly isn't) then you'd have to admit that the verses I cited above and 100s of others in the NT are lies!(incl. Romans 3:20-28). AMEN.

You have to understnad something. When Gabrial (I think I spelled it right) came to Mary, do you remember what he said to her? Howshe would be exalted? When Christ died, the apostles looked to Mary for their support. When we pray to her, what better person to ask, other than Christ, than His own mather to interced for us? Christ would never say no to His mother. Perhaps you should research as to why Catholics pray to saints as an intercession. Let us put our differences aside: we are Christians.
