  • Im from Washington and this is a big deal for our state, and the united states. Believe me Norm Dicks fights. I honeslty think hes one of the best political figures for washington state.

  • The European militaries have bought tons of F16. I do not understand, why the USA does not give the contract to the cheaper Airbus

  • i love american media.....lie lie lie lie lie opinion opinion opinion lielie........ god i love europe

  • How is this outsourcing.

EADS was going to build planes in Mobile,Alabama.

by the way EADs didnt win once, they won twice.

the first time it wasnt even publicied

  • Outsourcing American tankers? HA!

I guess its OK for Boeing to outsource their goods all day long but when the shoe is on the other foot it's "no no no, you can't do that!"

I can speak from experience when I say that Boeing knows they can't get their act together so that's why they are pushing a split bid. Till then all Norman Dicks and Todd Tihart can do is what they do best...which is hoot & holler and cry foul and in doing so it has, by default, shown the world Boeing's true colors!

  • This contract is to replace the KC-135, which the KC-767 does. We are not replacing the KC-10 at this point, which the KC-30 would do. Let's compare apples to apples. The infrastructre exists for an aircraft the size of the KC-135, which the KC-767 is. The KC-30 requires larger hangars, parking areas, runways, etc. If larger is better, then the Air Force should have made that clear from the begining.

  • i heard fucking senator mccain had something to do with this fucking decision

  • the airforce dosent know how to think right the KC-30 is the same size as a KC-10 it delivers 100,000 gallons less fuel and carriers less cargo. while boeings kc-767 caries about the same or more than the kc-135. i realy dont see the logic in this. the militairy has always stuck with boeing and some of the companies from the "US" but now it seems that the airforce trusts more Boeings rival than "their own side" man talk about irony.

  • they dont care about the 50.000 jobs or the 40billion dollars, it is all about prestige and national pride!

  • These guys dont have a clue about the aerospace industry... Whose idea was it to let them talk about stuff they barely know about?

Boeing have subsidies too, you know...

  • Norm corner stone of defense! Dick it's a flying gas can, thats the best you can do! I think we can do much better than a gas can! Your a congress idiot, we'll come november anyway!

  • So subsidizing Boeing is GOOD...

But subsidizing AIRBUS with the deal is BAD...

American Retards...who wants to deal with them?

  • @FanFisique u are a fucker =)-

  • Nothing but sour grapes that the plane won't be built in his district. The Boeing plane would've had plenty of foreign suppliers (why dontcha mention that, Lou??). The Northrop Grumman plane was better all around, and has beaten Boeing in every tanker bid process worldwide. There will be just as many American jobs created by the Northrop Grumman plane as with the Boeing.

  • Dicks voted for NAFTA, China ntr, WTO, and CAFTA. All these bills say: "SEND AMERICAN JOBS OVERSEAS". DICKS SET THIS THING UP. What does he expect? Lou needs to know about this guy.

  • Yeah, Ive just begun doing some research on thi guy, and he seems to be the stereotypical Flip-floppin politician. Fraud. I want him out of my district

  • Right on! Go gettem Norm! Good Job! and thanks
