@F18Productions I agree. But B&M is in their hayday, when arrow was in their hayday, they ownzzzz. Also, arrow brought many firsts to the coaster world, such as the suspended coaster, the first hypercoaster, the first multi-dimensional coaster. They created the first coaster with 2,3,4,5,6, and 7 inversions. The coasters of today wouldn't ownzz if arrow hadn't pioneered so much technology and ideas.

That's strange... Those loops look really big from the path near the batwing loop, but up close, they just look small. So do the corkscrews. I haven't been on this for over 3 years, and the last time I rode it, I had my eyes closed (I was 10). So is this coaster as big as it looks in real life, or is it small like in the video? I have some footage of this from my visit to KI last month, and it looks pretty big in my videos.

I was at King's Island in July...its a great coaster and did not seem to jerky to me. I had heard while I was there that this is the last year they are running this coaster because it is sinking into the ground...does anyone know if this is true?

A few things about this ride. It is a very steep drop..it's just not as tall so it has to come back up earlier. Therefore it would seem less steep. I love the ride and its old records, but they need to make the over the shoulder restraints wider or softer. They give you to much room to bounce your head around and it hurts sometimes. I know a lot of people think the same way as me. It's true fact about The Vortex, at Kings island, now.

Mine too, my brother dragged me through the line. Then I went on Millenium Force a year later, almost 150 feet taller. MF is 310 ft and vortex is 148 ft.

At night it's cool.. because all that's lit up is the hill. OMGSH. Ride the beast at night. It's AMAZING. When it's pitch black you have no idea where you're going and the track gets dew on it so you go even faster!!

The first big hill from the backseat gives the most extreme "fly out of your seat" moment I've ever experienced on any coaster. This part alone is worth the ride. The rest of it is just ok.

I believe they took down the King Kobra in the winter of 2001. I went to King's Island in 2002 and it wasn't there anymore, but you could see where it was there.

I always considered the Vortex one of the smoothest.. The King Cobra and Beast are far bumpier.. the King Cobra usually gives me quite a headache.
