  • Stupid add for a great drug

  • I took this many years ago in my teens. It really worked well, I haven't had acne since. I mean I still get a small pimple from time to time but nothing compared to how my skin was before I took accutane.

  • I take 40 mg of it daily, and it does work great. my mom used to take it and now how bowel problems because of it.

but the difference between me and her is im only going to be taking it for a couple months. people who take it for years are more likely to recieve problems and diseases.

  • I just saw a commercial saying that this drug has a bad side effect or diseas

  • lol too bad theres commercials out now saying that millions who have takin accutane has gotten chromes desease and shit

  • @thirtystmars712 to bad they are all desperate lawyers trying to convince ex users that accutane fucked them up

  • GLEEMONEX!

  • I take 20mg of Accutane and it works! Even mine hyperpigmentation is fading. I'd say give it a shot.

  • looks like a video the government would create to distribute a highly dangerous product that they are wanting to test on unsuspected victims that future generations would find hidden in a cave with the remains of a once lively community.. O_o

  • too bad there getting sued now lol

  • Accutane (claravis) worked great for me. I'm on my last 2 weeks of a six month course. I've taken 80 mgs since the beginning. (40 mgs in the am and 40 mgs. in the pm) I got chapped lips, and dry arms for a bit, but the doc gave me a steriod cream to combat that. I would recommend that you only take Accutane (or the generics) with the advice and monitoring of a doctor. You should take blood tests once a month to check your cholesterol and make sure you're ok. Best thing I ever did for myself!

  • hey! ive just been prescribed with accutane, but unsure about using it because the huge list of side effects! I dont want to slip into depression or have some metal problem! my sister knows someone who took their life without being depressed from using accutane! is it really safe to use??

  • @330507243 for the most part yes. becareful while you take it. follow everything the doctor tells you and also stay hidrated. :)

  • My accutane experience has been nothing but smooth sailing and clearer skin. My dermotologist put me on a low dose at first until I began getting used to the medication then slowly increased the miligrams. I believe the experience of accutane solely depends on your doctor, mine has actually taken accutane..twice. My scarring has actually decreased with accutane. It was a truely life changing drug for me.

  • How does it feel right now? What do u mean. Do you hate life or is it as it was before taking accutane? Is everything okay now?

  • haha i've seen this commercial so many times before but never realized what it was for...it's really vague about what the product is

  • if you do get on accutane and become depressed or have any other severe side effect like that can you stop using it?

  • god ur a dumbass, accutane is not planned out for u to take prozac and minoxidil.

  • your demotoligst tells you when your getting close to finishing your natural oils will come back to your face duh. then he recomends a face cleneser. he tells you watch your diet dont eat fatty foods drink pleanty of water. accutane will clear it up. but then its up 2 you to do the rest afta you stop taking it

  • Hah, no we weren't, my acne is almost completely gone. Still have 2 more moths left. The dry skin and lips is COMPLETELY worth the almost permanent acne-free skin.

  • you speak to soon ignorant one.

  • honestly now... what kind of fucking sheep are we? we trusted the fda and accutane for this acne treatment. we spent tons of our money on it only to be temporarily cured of acne, and suffer side effects. i suffer from hair loss, depression and joint pains due to this drug...

you see its all planned to work this way... you take accutane and end up with hair loss and depression... that means more money for the fda because you will now be taking prozac and minoxidil.

  • Accutane . biggest mistake ever. ! i wouldn't recommend it to anyone. side effects are serve ! ! ! SEVERE!!!x24 dry skin (nose,MOUTH,LIPS,face,EYES) -intensive cramps -Discomfort (trouble sleeping,stress,mood-swings, weak feelings) - Stomach ingestion, vomiting - nausea, stomach pains, fatigue -skin inflammation (sunburns, itching, burning sensation) -Bleeding (open cuts, pores, skin, acne, blackhead s) also Accutane make it 10 times worst, within the first 2 - 6 weeks of using it. good luck. ♥
  • wtf is wrong with you...if youve never used it stfu and dont make fucken stupid ass comments..

  • Im fucking hairy so this is another reason for me to take accutane

  • been on it 4 a week n its working already but der r side effects alot of dem , mainly dry skin n dry lips but wah da hell if it clears ur face den tke dem

  • accutane is great cleared my skin up fine in about 5 months. im a bit pissed off i let my skin get so bad for so long cos i have a few scars but what the hell its still 1000 times better than what it was. its true accutane rocks

  • try takin coke ketamine, shrooms, weed, mda all in the one night n then u will experience true side effects :D !, accutane aint shit.. if u got pimples, take it.. stop bein a bitch!

  • To prevent hairloss from Accutane.!

While your on Accutane, Take BIOTIN 10MG ADAY, A GOOD COMPLEX OF VITAMIN B-50, TAKE NIACIN 300MG AT LEAST, VITAMIN C. AVOID AVOID AVOID TAKING VITAMIN A BECAUSE ACCUTANE HAS A HYPERVITAMIN A WHICH CAUSES THE HAIR TO FALL OUT, THEREFORE, YOU SHOULD TRY TO AVOID TAKING ADDITIONAL VITAMIN A, IT'S OVERDOSEIN. DRINK ALOT OF WATER AT LEAST 4-6 CUPS A DAY. DO NOT PULL YOUR HAIR TO SEE IF ITS FALLING, BECAUSE THAT LEADS YOUR HAIR TO KNOW ITS WAY TO FAL.

  • does it really make your hair fall out?

  • It does on certain people, Accutane has a hypervitamin A which causes slight hairloss, not big deal tho. You'll regain your hair back once you discontinue the medication. When Accutane first came out it was initially a chemotherapy for cancer!!!

  • Are you sure? I have discontinued this drug for near 2 years now and yet I am still loosing hair from it.I am 100% sure its not genetics because I am loosing hair else where too. Some people recovered like you said but other people claimed the loss was permanent. If you aren't sure please don't lead others to believe its without doubt temporary because this is one of the reason that pushed me to take it.Only to find out that it could be permanent depending on the persons body.Look before you leap

  • Dont forget that pulling your hair to see if it falls leads for your hair to know it's way of falling, therefore, it causes hairloss. Stressing also causes hairloss. Try not to think about it too much, and pray only GOD can help and cure.Avoid taking any type of drugs. every drug has its own cureness for certain diseases but it can also affect other parts of the body. The best way to go, is Natural cureness. Pray,Take Vitamins, like I said in the above.

  • Ugh, Cruise control - so not reading that.

  • LOL

  • how do you know this shit works

  • how do you know that this works?

  • I heard that this drug can cause severe mental illness

  • and make u bald permanently! i wish i knew about this before i took this damn drug!

  • watch:

    "the ghost under my pillow"

    funny

  • watch "the ghost under my pillow"

  • Geez...after trying everything THIS is my last resort? Depression? Hair loss? Temporary results? All I want is a normal life. I'm fucking screwed!

  • Those side effects are very rare. Most people just get dryness. Also, if you're on the drug for the right about of time, as well as the right dosage, you shouldn't get your acne coming back. What would be the point of taking the drug if it doesn't work long term?

  • im on my 2 week and i just got dryness nothing more.

  • lmao

  • If ou do experience some hair loss and do not wish to proceed with the treatment then surely they would take you off it?

Wouldnt that stop the hair loss?

  • The only sdie-effects I experienced were dry lips and dry nose.... If you have acne, don't be scared by all of the negative hype out there... this drug works!

  • Accutane only get prescribe to you with only severe acne, iam on it now and i suffering from dry lips and eyes, but it my only solution for my shoulder acne,,,,

  • too late bro..i'm on it now...with luck you'll only get dry skin and lips, with bad, depression, hair loss and bloody diarheea. Keep in mind you're being watched by the dermatoligist all the time so you don't have to worry that much, but you do want to weigh the pros and cons.

  • Not after you try minocyclin and differen and tons of stuff he will give you first.

  • if yu have like mild acne or like less but not servere and yu wanted to take accutane cuz yu think it's goin to get worse and yu take the 10-20 mg for the 5 or 6 mths would it work the same and clear ur acne or do yu need the stronger pills like 40 mg

  • well i say i havnt had side effects i have had extreamly dry lips and face but hey thats normal anyway :) good luck if your on it or are about to go on it and for the people who are finding it hard to make the decision personally i would recomend it and just read all the comments to this vidio, 90 percent possitive :)

  • ive been on it for nearly 3 weeks. the first couple of days i thought it was working straight away then in the last few days i broke out like a bitch! all over my chin and cheeks but this is normal it get worse before it gets better and now today my face is so dry and its started to clear up again so its all good i cant wait to have a clear face which would be a first in nearly 5 years. i definatly think its worth it, i havnt had no side effects att all infact i feel better than ever :)

  • the side effects are so frightening! Extreme depression, suicide, infertility, hair loss, loss of sight, shrivelling and drying of all mucus glands - lips especially....

I mean is it really worth it.... I am too scared and my acne is nothing unusual, in fact sometimes it can disappear for a few days.

  • Accutane really makes your lips dry out. The only way to keep them from drying and cracking is to use Dr. Dan's Cortibalm. It really helps.

  • oh and another thing that i noticed hadnt been mentioned is you must take this drug with or after food. peace

  • im on my second week and my face has dryed up real bad especially round the mouth and chin it does look like its having a positive effect and after reading all these positive comments im a lot more relaxed.. and slightly excited :)

  • im on my second week and my face has dryed up real bad especially round the mouth and chin it does look like its having a positive effect and after reading all these positive comments im a lot more relaxed.. and slightly excited :)

  • WTF there are too much bad things about this drug . im so scared. is there any solution for my acne

  • i just purchase it online . wondering is it a good idea or not

  • dude get onto it straight away...no point in waiting it really helps and ull b fixed. side effects are easily delt with. DO IT!

  • me too...I got mine in the mail today. I got a small amount just to see if it was legit. I have no health insurance, I went to the derm and he said that treatment would be thousands w/o insurance. I hate my face, I had to try something. I want my face to start drying up then I will know it's for real.

  • Also there is a pre-existing condition clause insurances companies have. This means that if you have been previously treated for a conditon and you get new insurance you will have to wait a year for them to pay any benefit for that case. I looked into buying insurance and this is what bluecross/bluesheild told me! Even if I paid there premimum and co-pay's they still wouldn't pay for my acne treatment for a year. I don't really get it...so stupid.

  • accutane works!!! i took 1 pill everyday for 6 months! it cleared my face completely!!! After finishing the treatment i stayed clear for a yr and half. Now iam starting to breakout with some red zits on my checks and chin! I thought accutane was suppose to be a permanent solution?! I mean, i can accept getting a few here and there but im really starting to break out again! WTF?

  • There are very REAL side effects from accutane and thousands of us have experienced them.Accutane was originally developed as a chemotherapy drug for cancer but it didn't work.Unfortunately many people don't know make the connection between their side effects and accutane because they don't think that a drug used to treat acne could cause such horrific problems. I lost 6 years of my life to an accutane induced depression. Do your homework before you take accutane it can be very DANGEROUS.

  • where u on accutane for 6 years

  • no, I was only on accutane for 6 months, but I'm still dealing with some of the side effects 10 years later. The depression lasted for over 6 years.

  • the depression is proven to go away soon after stopping the drug mate...

u cant put all the blame on that

good 2 hear u gt through it though

  • Taking Accutane and feeling the wrath of the side effects? If you're looking for a solution to your dry lips, check out Dr. Dan's Cortibalm. It's the ONLY lip balm with 1% hydrocortisone, so it REALLY works. You can even use it when you're done with your treatment, and you won't have to pull it out of your pocket every 10 minutes like most other lip balms. Give it a shot!

    Cheers,

    Dr. Dan

  • I was on Accutane too... The drug was a miracle for me. My only side effect was mind dry skin, the lips peticularly, i would get this crack on the left side from my lips being dry. I had acne for 7 years, and accutane was the only thing that worked for me, it completely cleared my skin.

  • Accutane did alot for me. It cleared my face and most importantly increased my self esteem. HOWEVER the side effects were quite severe. My skin was so dry and i had bad allergies(swollen eyes and uncontrollable sneezing...like 10 sneezes in a row + inflamed sinuses), I couldnt see well at night, and depression set in(the bad things was i was 14 and didnt know what was going on). Worst of all - stunted growth, which I never confirmed with a doctor but I strongly believe occured.

  • Also, people need to understand that accutane makes your acne worse before it gets better. You just need to make sure that your keeping an eye on the changes that your body goes through(all of them!). Make sure your parents and friends know the side effects of this medicine aswell, so that they can point them out if you miss them. Also, when i was on Accutane i was taking 4 a day(i dont know if that is alot anymore) and despite me loving the end result i think this was too much.

  • 4 pills of how much dosage? There are different quantities. Some people take 10-20mg a day, whereas the maximum dosage is around 80mg a day.

  • i have just finished my accutane 6 months and im a new man my face is clear my skin is healthy, i get dry skin more then usual if anyone has this problem ask your doctor about Dormer hydration its a cream that is infused with antibiotics so so don't get pimples when you use it.

  • It's impossible to get pimples after you've completed the Accutane treatment.

  • Impossible? I think not. This is completly incorrect...you can still get acne. It will just not be anywhere near as severe as it was before you started. People need to talk to their dermatologists more to get correct answers to their important questions, not random people on youtube. +everyones different.

  • Accutane directly attacks and kills the virus that causes acne, Acne Vulgaris. If the treatment is successful, you can't get acne again. (However, there are other types of skin blemishes you can still get, as they are caused by different things altogether.) If you still get acne after having gone through a full treatment of Accutane, it hasn't completely "worked".

Remember, Accutane works for 9 out of 10 people.

  • AnonymousSeller is right. accutane permanently gets rid of your acne

  • HAHA! Did you even have acne? Or Take Accutane? I was on accutane for 5 monthes, it cleared my skin, but I still get the occational small pimple. Accutane is not a cure.

  • Accutane doesn't kill acne bacteria, idiot. It shrinks your oil glands. Acne comes from a over production of oil, that's why it's so effective.

  • @phorse ITs causes chrones diease ..

  • @phorse

    it does, actually...

bacteria is one of the reasons why you get pimples.

There is an over production of oil. But there is the bacteria there, which causes skin inflammation (that's why it's red, with a yellow, or white dot on it)

  • @phorse

Accutane was EXTREMELY overpowered, it would shrivel your oil glands causing inflammatory Bowel disease, Crone's disease; etc.

  • THIS PERSON, IS AN IDIOT!

  • LOL, phorse is right you tools, give his comments thumbs up

  • Hey there! Is you skin still dry sometimes from accutane medication. Or has everything "restored" and feels good? It would be helpful if you explain your experience to me. Thx!

  • Accutane's effect after...

    0-1 weeks: no effect

1-2 weeks: dryness of face, severe acne flares, chapped lips, acne slowly starts "peeling off"

2-4 weeks: Acne is visibly reduced

2-3 months: Acne is completely gone; however, can come back if you stop medication

4-5 months: Acne is completely gone and will never come back; congradulations, you are cured from "acne vulgaris".

  • I've been on accutane for 3 months.. going on 4 now. It's slowly improving my skin, although I definitely see side effects. I am sensitive to light and my back hurts a lot. However, if you're really desperate for your skin to improve, this drug is worth it. :)

  • right now im suffering from non-stop moderate acne and its killing me! Very soon i am planing to see the dermatologist to see if he'll prescribe me Accutane, but i feel a bit scared from its side effects. should i take it?

  • ok well i'm on it now and its just my first week and i feel like i might die

does it get better or is it normal to have like worst skin than usual when you start?

  • im on my one week in accutane and my acne

is like poofing up but its normal

  • im loosing all my fucking hair from this drug

and all my teeth are wiggling they are all loose

    and my vision has dropped

to be honest i feel outraged and angry from what has happened, the pill itself hasnt caused me to feel any chemical depression or suicidal thoughts its what its fucking doing to me

i want to kill my dermotologist and shoot up my whole school

  • THIS MAKES YOUR LOOSE ALL YOUR HAIR.

after taking it i lost at least 66% of all my hair over the year

  • can that happen to girls?

  • accutane really works:)

  • I took it! it was awsome. It doesnt make you have thoughts of suicide, you do blood tests every month to make sure your body isnt reacting to it negatively. The chances of bad side effects happening are the same with any drug. I didnt even get chapped lips!

  • you guys seriously do you think its natural to have so many side effects?

I don't think thoughts of suicide was a topic of discussion when thinking up a cure for acne! or Inflammation in the liver! There has to be another way besides accutane for severe acne

  • i heard it causes thoughts of suicide. does it do that for everyone??

  • The suicidal thoughts don't occur in EVERY individual. Some people experience them on this medicine and others don't.

  • the best thing to do since you cant drink while on accutane is to smoke weed, i consistently smoked pot on accutane n the side effects didn't bother me.. :D it works very well..

  • do the doctors care if they know you smoke pot when you take a blood test..

  • good question- i was too scared to ask my doc so i just kept doing it anyway, it wont matter though.

  • i'm starting it in one week

so i might die from all the side effects they keep saying

    :((

  • like what side effects??

  • depression, mood swings, sometimes some inflammation inside your liver

  • none are permanent right??

  • not at all. Usually the side effects last a week after completing the medication, and they slowly die off. And the inflammation in the liver is a very rare occurance, so don't worry about that

  • if the inflammation in the river happens does it go away and is that why the doctors check the blood for?? to see if the livers has inflammation??

  • it doesnt have any negative effects- just be sure not to use river-horse type doses (like they tend to prescribe in the states). i just started to use it and i feel great- no side effects at all. and it has to help. good luck!

  • what are you talking about? theres tons of side effects!

  • There are a lot of side effects, but not everyone experiences them.

  • i have really bad acne. does it really work well?? cuz I was scared of the them taking out blood but now I really want something that works

  • it does really work...you have to take it up to 6 months though.

  • it realy works trust me

  • ive been on it for about 2 weeks now and the only side effect ive noticed has been dryness of my eyes but its not bad. well worth it

  • I am on week one at 10mg per day (in Germany it's difficult to get medications like accutane with isotretinoin because the doctors not want to give it anybody) and I think it already works a little bit! :)

I'm very happy... About 4 months and I'm free from acne!

  • how bad does the side effects affect you?

i'm starting it in a month and i really wanted to get on it but my doctor made it sound like i was going to die and have to take all these tests and it seems like too much

  • i just got prescribed 10 mg's a day..

my acne isn't too bad but how long do you think it will take before i notice a change?

  • I used this a few years ago and it was a god send - although commercial advertising like this is kinda wrong, especially for a drug that so many potential negatives.

  • im on accutane right now and im telling you it is the best acne drug out there. you dont even feel the side effects

  • good for you, its a really good drug :)

  • Im on it too it seems to be working in the last 10 days better than the other antibiotics in the month...but dont let the Doctors discourage you if you want to try it, the side effects effect many people in many ways...So far I have had none so best of luck. Oh and dont let people tell you its posion, and all that mumbo jumbo and how they are gonna sue, well they dont have a case aginst accutane for the iPledge program it is on.

  • i used accutane and im telling you- this is the only perscripted medicine that helped clear my acne to the fullest. i love it-

it make you depressed tho and you cant have babys if you take and if you do take it while having a baby in your whom, the baby might come out retarded.

this medicine is freaking hard to get but its well worth the trouble in getting it. i love it

  • i live in the UK

and it took..3 months on a national health waiting list to get it, but now ive been on it for 3 months, had my blood checked once to see if my blood as altered or if my liver is damaged, and my skin is really improving, i have a few scars, but in a few years they will go, if you can, get it the treatment :)

  • I'm on month 2 with Accutane right now. Started with 40mg/day but after the first month I got the dose increased to 60mg/day and I can already see fantastic results. Sure, there are effects and everyone reacts differently to it, but start on a low dose and work your way up and you'll be ok. It's all about using your brains, people.

  • It's my second day ...

    I'm very nervous...

  • Nah man, don't worry. I've been on it for nearly 2 months now and was given a higher dosage. The only side-effects i and most people get are extremely chapped lips and dry, peeling skin. My skin is getting much better thanks to this.

    Good luck

  • i'm done with 2 months and haven't had a pimple for about 8 days now! Accutane is saving my life.

  • don't use idiotic high doses and it'll be alright. I'm gonna use this thing after a while, gonna give you a feedback

  • I have used accutane before like 6 years ago, I not sure if have lot of problem. i do have vision problem now, or ADD effect im getting slow and having mental meltdown. or im not sure is from accutane. May be is other surrounding.

  • k im on it right now

every side effect *except for birth defect and suiside thoughts*

have happened to me i think

but i mean honestly if this is all that i have to overcome then im damn well ready

does anyone know if the drug will still take effect*make acne go away* if these side effects happne to me?

  • with great power comes great resposibility

  • wow spiderman talk

  • thanx, and does anyone know if if u can take performance suppplements while on accutane? does it counter-act the side affects of sore muscles? by supplements i mean the good stuff like creatine and nitric oxide supplements? and training and competivew sport while on accutane? does it hamper your ability to play the sport to your full potential?

  • that is true , my advice is take it in the winter but be aware that accutane really does dry up your skin halfway through the treatment and at the end.

  • Is it true that the accutane makes you very light sensitive? im one for lying on the beach for most of the day?i dont want to come out after a day at the beach looking like a lobster :-) what im trying to ask.. is it better to take it in the summer or winter?

  • yes, don't sunbathe while on accutane, it's just not worth it. it will only cause problems. wear sunscreen when you go outside.

  • I've been on accutane four different times it works but my acne always seems to come back when I finish my treatment so I have to get back on it until my face clears up completely..... you should see results within the 3rd month..it works by drying up the oil in your body so you can unclog your pores more effectively there are side effects but like my doctor says all drugs have side effects there's no way around them!!!

  • I am taking accutane and it only took it 4 days to start working. It did get worse before it started working though. The only side effects i get are chapped lips, back pain, and dry eyes. The stuff works great. And after the accutane treatment acne wont come back.(if it does, its mild). But if you are wondering what to do, go to your dermatologist and they will prescribe an antibiotic.

  • i have used accutane f0r months, it has great effect its been a year i completed the treatment i still have red marks , it only works on reducing the inflammation. Does any one know about relapse of acne after using the accutane treatment?

  • i have been on the pills (40 mg per day) for 4 full days now and haven't noticed any difference in anything at all, my face seems slightly redder, but no side effects at all, not even dry lips,

    anyone have the same experience??

  • im gonna start taking it next month, but i dont want to lose my hair or have vision and hearing problems, and i heard that you have to stay away from the sun, and you cant drink alcohol..no wonder people start feeling suicidal.

  • HAHAHAHAHA

  • I'm about to start taking accutane this wednesday, and I have moderate acne that didn't respond to other medications, i just want to know how accutane will affect the red mark that acne left behind, because i have quite a few of those old red marks along with current acne, does anyone know?

  • my derm said the red marks will fade with time because your skin repares itself. The accutane doesn't take care of marks or scar tissue but it stops new acne from forming. By the time i was done my treatment my scars and red marks were already fading just give it time.

  • how long does it usually take for them to fade, because I have had them for a while, its kind of like a cycle of red marks and as they fade new acne forms giving me more red marks

  • exactly how long does it take for u to see results (I heard it actually gets worse during the first weeks of treatment)

  • Im 27 years old and I took low doses of accutane when I was around 18. I had severe acne and tried every antibiotic you can think of. Accutane changes my life. It cured everything and I have very little acne today compared to pre-treatment. It works and changed my life and my confidence. The low doses didn't make me feel any of the side effects at all. I felt safe and comfortable.

  • I'm 30 and just started taking 20mg daily. Do u still have acne after the treatment?

  • It just made my skin and lips really dry....nothing too unexpected. It really worked though!:D

  • The experience is different for everybody, but mine was fine.

My skin was very dry, face and lips, always carry a lip balm with you and use it thoroughly, moisturize twice a day at least and your skin will be fine, mine was.

I did feel a bit of tiredness which may have made me a bit restless but overall it was fine.

The experience is different for everyone though, I've had 2 friends go to hospital because of ingrown toenails. Just keep on track with it and look after yourself

  • this shit does fuck you up. maybe not everyone, but it does. I'm almost in my third month and have severe back and joint pain almost to where i can't function. feel like im 90 yrs old. not to mention bad confusion and forgetting what the hell i was doing for 5 minutes. and of course dry skin and i get really pissed off and cant sleep for shit. told my doctor everything and the prick thinks im tip top! anyone know how long these side effects will stay w/ me? during and after treatment?

  • oh my god, you are all such freakin' hypochondriacs, you'd probably blame accutane for september 11 if you could. which i spose logically you could, given 'loose change' and all that b.s.

anyway, accutane is a miracle cure, i can't reccomend it any more highly, i didn't experience any negative side effects myself besides dry skin and chapped lips - although they're hardly a big price to pay for 100% clear skin. THANK YOU ACCUTANE PEOPLE!

  • Crippling back pain, depression and chapped lips to the point where I couldn't open my mouth to eat whilst on the drug. Has been a major contributing factor.. if not the whole cause.. to depression after treatment. Very powerful drug with a huge list of dangerous side effects, my advice : research and avoid. Nothing like the ad!

  • it could possibly damaged the liver...

  • it damaged mine.

  • I'm going to be going on Accutane soon but am a bit concerned about the side effects. I see that a lot of people say that it worked and it's great but a lot of people talk about the side effects. Does anyone know what the chances of it NOT having side effects on you are? And how long does it take to work?

    Great for a response.

  • NOSE BLEEDS AND LOTS OF EM some are mild some are severe but whatever it is its nose bleeds o and dry lips to im in it for over a week or 2 now so ya just watch out

  • i heard you can get suicidal with this medicine lol you might get thoughts about killing yourself and bad depression

  • the first change is in about the 2 months of the trietment now im in the third and keep loving it

  • im using the accutane now. it's been one mont and it's making my skin very dry. but like all the comments i read i ahve to go fo like 3-4 more months

  • I took accutane in 1995-96 for 5 months...I will say it works amazing. I had cystic-like acne. For those who try it, your skin will get worse the first month cause your body gets rid of all of the impurities in your pores, and it will remain very dry through out those 5 months. But you'll notice a dramatic difference after a couple months. My side effects were male pattern baldness which never grew back and some slight lower back pain. But I still recommend it.

  • i finished accutane four or five months ago and my skin looks great. you can't even tell i used to have acne. it's good stuff if you can deal with all the dryness.

  • accutane is used when all treatments fail and you have modere/severe accne. Please see a doctor when using accutane or any derivate of isotetrinoin. This drugs are NOT suited for everyone, the information found on internet is not enough. Drug dosage is very important and you will need blood test before using it and also 1 and 2 months after using it. I can't explain all here but please see your doctor before using it, this is not aspirin.

  • It's always good to see a doctor for Accutane. However, I've learned a lot more from my internet research these days than I ever did from my doctor when he prescribed it to me 6 years ago - LOL. Listening to your doctor for his 2 minute lecture and reading the literature that came with the med did not compare to all the research in depth I got to read and study over the internet.
