The religious right are a bunch of neo-conservatives and neo-fascists. They bring a new level of shame to an already shame-riddled religion. God save us from your followers, please!
@rolexmonger I'm a minister's son, and I've seen my fair share of them. There simply is NO arguing with them. They pride themselves on being closed-minded.
What on Earth are you talking about? I think you fail to understand Dr. Lindlof's intentions. He has written an excellent, thorough, incredibly well-researched history of a major event in the history of pop culture and religion in America.
He's not getting "bent out of shape" over protests. He is bringing clarity to an issue that neither side of the conflict ever clearly understood. He strips away the scapegoating and sound-biting to understand why the tumult occurred. This is an excellent study for anyone interested in the relationship between the Christian subculture and the entertainment community in America.
That's the last thing I get out of this description. Sounds like he just has a problem with conservative Christians exercising their right to assemble and sympathizes with Scorsese's butthurt over not being entitled to the platform of his choice.
A name like "Hollywood Under Siege" doesn't help. Yeah, Hollywood's really threatened. Hysterical.
I love the film. A+

Incredibly dishonest.
Christians do believe that God was Human and Divine.
And what's a lefty doing getting bent out of shape over people excercising their right to assemble and protest?
Hypocrisy! From someone who has very few standards to violate, no less!
