I HAD MINE FROM BLOCKBUSTERS BLU RAY PLAYER ONLIINE FREE CHANNELS AND IT ONLY COST ME £69.99 AND HD MI CABLES £89.99 ITS A BDP-S185 ITS A BARGIN IN BLOCKBUSTERS GOT IT FOR XMAS SONY BLU RAY PLAYER PS3 WAS BEING USED ALOT FOR IT THATS WHY I GOT PS3 SHOULD BE FOR GAMES ONLY BUT IS A REAL TREAT TO HAVE ON A PS3 JUST PREFER ON BLU RAY PLAYER SO I CAN PLAY GAMES ON PS3

@THEBOMB747 i agree with the 1080p hd, i mean why settle for 720p when you can have 1080p for the same price i'm going to put it on a full hd 22" asus monitor which i already got :)

just got mine and cant set the bloody thing up it shows the movie in a small box and doent fill the screen - any ideas

i've got a samsung BDP-S350 as a gift. And now I maybe want to trade it with this Sony Blue-ray instead, because I have a Sony BRAVIA Full HD tv.

what about the ps3 slim. it's easy to update considering you can connect to the internet easily (comes with wifi). and all ps3s are 299. and slim has a bravia sync with bravias.

The Panasonic DMP BD35 is a better Blu-Ray player then the sony BDP S350. If you have more money to spend go for the Playstation 3 otherwise the Panasonic DMP BD35 is a better if not best stand alone blu ray player that costs less then the PS3 and the S350!!!

The Panasonic Blu-Ray units are really good, But I think Panasonic is a bit overpriced.

I might buy a Sony BDP-S550, Because I do not want to burn out my PlayStation 3's Laser.

The Sony BDP-S550 is a tiny but slower than the Panasonic units and that is about it. The quality is usually the same on most Blu-Ray units.

The Sony player also has Multichannel Outputs.

i just unboxed my blu-ray player today and installed it with the HDMI cable. I put the movie 300 which can go up to 1080i but i still dont think im getting the full quality. Is it because of the 1080i parameter of 300?

it maybe have you checked that your tv an handle 1080 some HD tv are only 720p.
