Progressive Values: Katherine Forrest - Truthfulness

I don't want to sound to harshly critical because I can say that though I have places and areas that I think need greater reflection (by everybody) I believe people who call themselves progressive are more on the right track than people of other political parties.

There is always going to be a percentage of people who do not fit in and really cant participate that well, so we have to look at that, and make sure they are treated fairly and have self determination and have options, and have quality of life.

One point I disagree with is when you speak of "coddling" where is the fine line between coddling and and care, when does relinquishing help and resources for fear of coddling just become callousness, and also when you talk about not giving handouts, but eventually, weather the amount of poor continues to stay the same or increases what people are going to have to realize is what they need is MONEY, in some form, as housing, as resource availability...continued above

I agree with some of the things to certain degrees within certain contexts and other things I disagree with to certain degrees, there are so many facets and gradients of ambiguous greyness, concerning society and homo sapiens that still need examining and understanding, dark corners that we dont want to put the light on for fear of what we will see unpleasant truths.

A lot of things that when discussed or brought to light will no doubt cause much heated debate, and strong emotions, aspects of race (I don't believe in "race" except as a construct) Sexuality, gender,class, relationships, traditions and everything right from the very most primitive essence of our species.
