I might be working on the PATCH just got finished with getting into the japanese area server with the PCSX2 Emulator. All I need is that translating device that I found a while back. I think i could host a game server off and on on VMware, My rig is Phenom II x6 1090T, dual ATi 5770s with crossfire support and 4 GBs at 1600 mhz, (ill upgrade my ram this season by about 6 GBs xD)
Connection is 20 mbits down and 2 mbits up.
Cant have more then probably 30 users at a time, because of connection and only host weekdays because of my own personal gaming on weekends,.. (college during weekdays so too busy to game anyway)

Someone seriously needs to fucking convence CyberConnect2 to get there asses up and work on another .hack//Fragment if this was out for Ps3 it could hold a lot of players but seriously CyberConnect2 get yalls lazy asses up and make another fragment or atleast an online GU game!
So many people want a dot hack game online because there are no online games like it, it is unique enough to have its own genre but no one even attempts to make another game in the same genre. I would be willing to work on a game like it to get it out there. so many fan versions of dot hack have started up turned out great and then died.
Maybe its just time to leave the anime and characters to bandai and make the game with the features we want our selves.

I hate the fact that japan wont share this. it's like showing us a castle yet putting us in a trailer. but then again i would be awesome if they held off the world 1 and came out of no were with the world 2 or x. simple rip out all of the data from the old disks IMOQ and put them in the FRAGMENT data disk and add all the languages to it too and burn the disk. Try it it might simply work you may never know ;) i could just rip out the data from the Infection disk and input it in the fragment disk if I had fragment of course.

The servers shut off because they were always scheduled to shut off. //Fragment was a test for future games. It was never meant to be an ongoing MMO. :\

Don't we all wish for it. Bandai could've made a hella ton of money if they had just went through with it, but no, they didn't give American gamers a chance. As for legal trouble, WHY THE HELL? Its a game they let us down on, why should they care anymore? They don't want to sell it? Fine. But why be dumbasses and push it out for good?
Its too far gone, I would believe. If anything, they could make a completely new game. It'd be a money maker for sure, even if it had bugs left and right, bandai could fix that over time.

They should have just taken the Idea of .hack// or .hack//G.U. and gave you the ability to make your own character and flourish in a simulated world. or in G.U. they should have allowed you to become friends with random NPC characters so you could have more then just 1 class. Truthfully Id die for a ps2, ps3, or xbox 360 game where you make your own g.u. character and just play The world.

There were many reasons why I abandoned this project earlier...
1. Costs
2. Difficulty of Debugging
3. Reallife Trouble (the only thing I didn't resolve so far...)

Don't we all wish for it. Bandai could've made a hella ton of money if they had just went through with it, but no, they didn't give American gamers a chance. As for legal trouble, WHY THE HELL? Its a game they let us down on, why should they care anymore? They don't want to sell it? Fine. But why be dumbasses and push it out for good?

Its too far gone, I would believe. If anything, they could make a completely new game. It'd be a money maker for sure, even if it had bugs left and right, bandai could fix that over time.

What do you mean couldn't catch the feeling of playing this online?!? Stupid! This video looks pretty good to me, a LOT like .hack online. It looks legit and I cannot believe they gave up on this. I was furious when I found out.
Every since I played Infection, I've been waiting for the actual .hack game online. Here it is, and there it went. GAH.

it has been said over and over again that people want to see this game or a incarnation of it for the now generation systems like 360 and ps3. and forever i hear about that CC is working on it, but i doubt it...though i imagine they are working on a new .hack .....if so i cant wait.

if I'm right, the next .hack will be for the PSP... it's gonna be called .hack//Link and it will have kite and haseo in it.. supposedly, it makes all the .hack series link up, but I dunno. give google a go with it.

i can under stand why they would cut this, dot hack was all about plot. its gameply was average at best but .hack//gu although sacificeing some plot value they created a awesome battle system i bealieve if they made another adempt they would surely succseed this time in making THE WORLD an actual online game. the only thing that stoped them was the bad gameplay for dot hack with that sovled wats to stop them it would be a huge hit of course they would have to modify things a bit but its obtainbl

They should have just taken the Idea of .hack// or .hack//G.U. and gave you the ability to make your own character and flourish in a simulated world. or in G.U. they should have allowed you to become friends with random NPC characters so you could have more then just 1 class. Truthfully Id die for a ps2, ps3, or xbox 360 game where you make your own g.u. character and just play The world.

Nothing. AIDA is pronounced like a word.AIDA is a virus ( In the series) that fuses with our mind and makes you believe things that aren't real. It turns you into a a zombie of sorts. Hope that help!

I doubt it, this was only released in Japan (I'm assuming you're not japanese...)
You probably have .hack//infection or one of the other games in that series. From what I can tell this game is just an online version minus the story
