Lots of you are having problems get your barrels out of the housing. 1). You don’t need to disassemble this bit of kit so relax about it. 2). Pout the barrel in hot water near but NOT boiling point. Heat barrel for about five minutes. Use heavy gloves and apply force. 3). Do not hit, shock or abuse the barrel in anyway. If it still will not come apart take it to a competent air smith and get him to do it for you. But expect him to ask you why you need to take it apart in the first place.
the flatline is the way to go. i ordered mine through paintballonline but i ordered the core shroud kit too. yeah and if u take off that addapter plate that will fit threaded barrels too many times, the paint wears off and it make it like thousandths of a degree off and it will turn very easily in the gun even if u have the little bolts EXTREMELY TIGHT! i ordered another one and it works fine. but u dont have to worry bout the flatlines bc it is a perfect fit everytime for me.
The Flatline Barrel is NOT meant to be an 'on an off' barrel. Take the barrel off your gun as FEW times as possible because every time you do, you risk damaging the connection between the adapter and the gun chamber. You should still take it off every five uses or so to clean it (esp if you chop a ball) but be extremely careful when detaching and reattaching it from your gun. The slightest ding in the adapter will result in all your balls chopping. Also the flatline demands higher ball quality.
i have a flatline that came with my a5 stealth. but if i wanted to throw on a different barrel how would i do that cus as far as i can see when i remove the flatline there are no grooves or nething to screw in a different barrel.
my a-5 came with standard barrel mounted and flatline in a bag , shouldnt all of them come wit standard barrel?plus a question what would b a good cheap barrel 2 use as a secone one couse this one field i go 2 makes u buy their paint and it brakes alooot in my flatline
If your's came with a regular barrel and a Flatline, then Tippmann must be doing something new. I've never seen a stealth come with a standard barrel before.
For a good cheap barrel, I have heard great things about the J&J Ceramic, and I've also heard nice things about the RAP4 Recon Barrels.
I prefer to use at least a $50 barrel, but I have seen the J&J do some great things with bad field paint.
@6iPWNi9 thx for replyin 2 a year old q. no sarcasm. i already bought some cp barrel 30$ but it sucked.then i got an apex but it sucked wit stock barrel so i got an apex ready lapco n put the apex tip on it and i like it :)
@tommidrab Do you mean that the balls spats in the barrel? Are you sure its the barrel? xD You know its pretty smart to use a Squishy paddle for your cyclone feeder :P
hey, I'm having a problem trying to undo the flatline. I removed the screw but the whole barrel does not want to come out. Any suggestions? Also, I was thinking of getting a J and J barrel what would you recommend for durability and accuracy
still no luck at removing it. It seems that the person who I bought this gun from has it on mighty tight. Also I notice that the barrel is facing the lower part of the flatline instead of being at the top which would be perfectly aligned with gun. How can I correct this?
hey thanks dude can u add me u are very helpful but i just wanna say that i dont really care much about the hooks a apex can do i just need best accuracy and range, also i really like how the flatline looks and i need to know should i just get apex or the flatline or should i just get a normal barrel
The best way to go: Put the Apex Tip on either a Lapco Bigshot, Special Ops C-Series, or J&J Ceramic. Your range and accuracy combination will be amazing with a decent paint to bore match.
If you're looking for the easy way out, just get the Apex Barrel. It's still beter than the Flatline.
I don't know about that... My friend has had 2 apex's and they both broke with a month, and he was really careful with them. They may be slightly better in performance, but when it comes to durability, flatlines destroy every barrel on the market.
dam i heard these were amazing but i just bought a 16 inch barrel. is it really that significant of a difference? is it a must buy for the a5

You need to buy a barrel adapter , i don't think that you get one with the stealth model.

Grab one of those can opening pads(super gripy things) and give it a good heave.
As for barrels, the J&J is really good for the price. I use a Special Ops C-Series barrel with an Apex Tip.
KRASHARPSHOOTER 3 years ago
Thanks I'll give the grip thing a try and see if I can pull it off. As for the barrel thanks I'll take that into consideration :)

hey i hv the same problem.
did u get it offf. if so how did u???
mbczaq 2 years ago
yeah I got it off with some lube and was able to remove the barrel. I eventually just added an adapter and use a 12inch J&J now.

how do u tune the velocity for an a-5
loco4lax99 3 years ago
There is a small Hex Screw on the Cyclone side of the A-5 right above the Piston Housing.
Screwing it out makes it faster, screwing in makes it slower
KRASHARPSHOOTER 3 years ago
wait! do you mean that hole above the cylinder?
Sarcasticscum 3 years ago
can you make a video on how to take the adaptor of the flatline?

would you recommend a flatline im planning on to get one or a apex barrel
PBkid42 3 years ago
I would recommend the Apex over the Flatline. Check out my Apex Video and the link to The Ultimate Apex Barrel Thread.
KRASHARPSHOOTER 3 years ago
this doesn't have anything 2 do with the video but should i get a j&j ceramic barrel or a bt apex barrel
the1guyuknow 3 years ago
I'd get the J&J & buy an Apex Tip for it. You can attach the Apex Tip with a Tape Mod.

The PCS US-5 takes Piranha/Spyder Barrel threads, but the A-5 Flatline will also work.
