I agree with his views. We as the British are starting to get too soft. E.g. Giving people short sentences and whoever has long sentences such as life usually get released.

And the prisoners these days are treated with so much luxury. It's supposed to be a fucking deterrent not a holiday.

If you watch the Indians-in-Britain show "My goodness gracious me", you will see that Britains of Indian decent do not feel welcome even today in Britain. One skit shows locals lighting a cross when they see Indians. I think that England is more racist than America, they just hide it well.

I was raised on Alf Garnett, when I lived in England.(Liverpool) I came over to the U.S. in '77 and guess what? we had "All in the Family' (Archie Bunker) an idea from Johnny Speight's "til death us do part" Funny, funny stuff(both programs) Both the US and UK are going to hell in a handbasket with PC and Liberal rhetoric. Whatever happened to good old fashioned humor? Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, and the like, all still make fun of their own race. It's humor. Where would we be without it?

That is why Johnny Speight was disappointed with this comedy. Public sentiment was very positive towards Alf Garnett and what he said. It's a bloody funny comedy because of the character and he does what most of us don't have the guts to do. Freedom of speech is non-existent because of people like you Jape!

When I grew up in the heart of South London it was 99% White/British.
Now?? When I return I'm when of a minority of 15% in many,many areas in the WHOLE of Inner London.
