I just want to say Great Job for sticking with this with a "well-loved" piano. That you can make it sound so fantastic is testimony to your playing. My son is 11, and I hope I can keep him playing.  He'd love to play this. He does my favorite version of Fur Elise, more emotional than the CDs. Keep it up!

Dude that's some awesome playing. At some points I kinda liked the sound of your piano, it's only the higher notes that are hard to recognize.

Hey!

Just wanted to say that I learned the piano on my great-grandma's old piano. I had that same piano all the way up until I graduated from highschool and it did not hold me down. I am now a very accomplished pianist, so don't be afraid of a bad piano holding you down. Although, when you do play a nice piano, it will knock you right off the bench every time you play! LOL, it happens to me on a daily basis! Blessings on your future!

Hey Cool. I am a piano teacher, seriously, you need to tell your parents to get you a NEWER and BETTER piano. You do not realize how much an old piano can hold back your skill development. I had the opportunity to play a $30,000 organ for about 3 days and was so inspired and motivated by it (see a better instrument makes you play better) and recorded a Pirates of the Caribbean medley on it. I think it is a good comment to tell you to get your piano tuned. you play it very well and the very last part sounds better with this bad piano but for the rest I can really advise you to tune it.

Hey guys. Thanks for the comments. Yeah, the piano needs to be tuned, but we don't have the money for it yet. Actually we have a keyboard now, which is pretty cool. Anyways, in the next few days you can be expecting some Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings stuff from me. lol I can actually play Harry Potter with my back turned to the keys.

Whoa...did you do that without a music book? I personally need the music in frot of me, but if you didn't...you've got some serious talent!

Just remember that the piano doesn't have the talent, it's the person playing the piano. Trust me. I know this guy, and he plays the piano super well, and every time I hear him play he's playing the crappy piano in the basement of our church. If you can make a crappy instrument sound good, you're good.

Personally I'm really impressed. I always wished I had kept up on piano lessons. Don't worry about the piano being out of tune when it comes to this piece. One of the other comments said it added character and they were right. The sound demonstrates your ability even if the camera doesn't capture the image so well.

I'm fifteen and I can't play like that! Atleast not by ear. Nice handwork, too. In the beginning, I think you play a note, in two different octaves, with your left hand. My hand won't stretch that far.

If you play any more stuff, make sure to put it up. I'd love to see it.

I can completely sympathize with the bad piano thing. I play my grandmother's piano which was last tuned before I was born.

I'm still thirteen. As for the notes, this was something that took me a while, but I figured it out by listening to the music. That was actually a piece of paper that I turned that had just little reminders, since I'm horrible at reading music. I just memorize my music. There is a Pirates of the Caribbean piano book, though, that you can buy in stores or anywhere pinao music is sold.
