  • ese es mi paul

  • I want to meet Paul. he could teach me soo much:)

  • @hayleystarkk dont we all lol

  • I want to meet Paul. he could teach me soo much:)

  • =)

  • Had it my way...

  • Again, unpredictable chord structure and metric... I find it very, very, very, very, very Beatle - esque!

  • Can't stand corrected on this. Sorry dude.

So what if it is bullshit, Paul could still make a reference to it. John did in the song How Do You Sleep? (Those freaks were right when they said you were dead).

And 'hoax' implies it was made up to intentionally fool someone into believing it was true, which I highly doubt. The whole thing was started by fans who were being a little too obsessive.

I suppose I should have asked, is this Paul having a laugh at the Paul is Dead folks.

  • "On the street I had my feet on the ground, Stood corrected, well protected, resurrected, had it my way". Is this reference to the Abbey Road "Paul is Dead" cover?

  • No mate, the Paul is Dead, is bullshit, a hoax, stand corrected.

  • I meant to reply to this but I just added a new comment.

  • Sorry I misinterpreted what you said, yeah of course, there is no harm in referring to it at all. I just thought you meant 'hold on, is he giving more clues to Paul is dead'. How do you know it was started from obsessive fans?, other theorys state it was started by The Beatles and Apple Records as a marketing ploy to sell albums, othert say it was Lennon who started it out of jeliousy. We will prob never know who started it, but it escalated into a hoax.

  • John wrote I Am the Walrus to screw with all of the 'intellectuals' who were trying to read all of these grander meanings into the Sgt Pepper album and some of their other songs. The song has great lyrics and fantastic imagery but nothing that can be tied together and summarized.

He wrote the line from Glass Onion, the walrus is Paul, when he heard that the Walrus was considered a bad guy in the Lewis Carroll poem and in Kiplings The Jungle Book.

  • The rumor started at some college newspaper, I can't remember which. They later said that they made it up.

The clues could just as easily meant that John foresaw his own death.

He said Revolution 9 was about the end of the world. There are gun shots and a football game (Lennons death was the only time Monday Night Football was interupted to announce someones death).

  • ...a lucky man who made the grade. ...the news was rather sad,I just had to laugh,I saw the photograph(Dip Shits picture, he did it to become famous). He blew his mind out in a car(John had just got got out of the car).Nobody was really sure that he was from the House of Lords(the cops reconized Yoko and realized it was John).I saw a film today, oh boy, the English Army had just won the war.(John is shot to death in How I Won the War.)Id love to turn you on(Turn me on dead man, #9 backwords).

  • The woke up fell out of bed part tells about Paul deciding to go ahead and go to work (the studio) to keep his mind off of it but not getting any work done.

Four thousand holes in Blackburn Lancaschire, although the holes were rather small they had to count them all (at first it was said that there were 5 shots, it was later corrected to 4).

  • @debjorgo interesting- I never knew that about I Am The Walrus. I know Walrus, Taxman, and other songs all make fun of the rudiculous stuff that went on like rumors, the media, corrupt politicains, police, and more. THe BEatles knew how to make fun of things all right- and i agree with them.

  • I cant remember where I read the Glass Onion part. But thinking back I think the it was said as speculation, the Kipling part anyway.Sometimes we state things as fact without really intending to.Thats why you cant believe everything you read.

And your comment, it worked in reverse too.Years later,George was arrested for possession by an officer Pilchard."If that was his real name",as commented by Harrison. You may remember the line from Walrus,"Semoline pilchards climbing up the Eiffel Tower".

  • @debjorgo So you're saying that The Beatles (mostly John) forsaw consciously (or semiconsciously) the upcoming death?

  • @Ashley5ash- No, I just said the "clues" could just as easily be interpreted that way. Who knows?

So long ago, Was it in a dream, was it just a dream? I know, yes I know, Seemed so very real to me,

Took a walk down the street, Thru the heat whispered trees,

I thought I could hear Somebody call out my name as it started to rain, (Cud sucker called out John's name before he shot him).

    Two spirits dancing so strange.

  • @debjorgo Huh... That's very strange... And what song is this?

  • @Ashley5ash - That's Dream #9 from John's Walls and Bridges album.

  • Dream, dream away, Magic in the air, was magic in the air?

I believe, More I cannot say, what more can I say? On a river of sound, Thru the mirror go round, round, I thought I could feel, Music touching my soul, (John was on a new creative high)

something warm, sudden cold (the bullets entering and the lose of blood)

    The spirit dance was unfolding

    Dream #9

  • @debjorgo Oh yeah. I've never really listened to the lyrics that deeply... But it fits, you know?
