In the Netherlands Hitler's book "Mein Kampf"(meaning "my struggle") has been banned,but Surahs from the Quran which incite to murder or violence against unbelievers/Kuffars/infidels are not even censored in public available copies.

As a Christian, I cannot understand how you could kill a person for not being Christian. That, of course, has been misinterpreted over time--Crusades, Inquisition, witch trials, etc. were "Christians" in "control". The Catholic Chatechism demands that all Catholics respect all people regardless of religion--and atheism. Quran says FIGHT.

I have seen many intelligent people debate and criticize muslim's. I know many have that hatred of muslim, so why not legislate a holocaust by voting on the grounds of an elastic constitution, and then I dare you to say that history does not repeat it self. The Qur'an doesn't provide context. It's a failing of the book itself if people misinterpret it so widely. Context is found in secondary sources, like the hadith and the sirah. Most Muslims haven't read these, and expecting non-Muslims to be familiar with them is being unrealistic.

Robert Spencer has studied the qu'ran for many many years, and has a Master's Degree in religious studies. He is a scholar, and he has perfect authority to interpret the qu'ran.

There is one islam, that of the koran, sira and hadith (the islamic trilogy). Islam and sharia condemn liberty (speech, religion, expression), forbid equality (men-women, muslims-others) and call for conversions, subjugation or jihad. Do not fall victim to apology, appeasement, accomodation or hopeful assimilation. Read broadly of history (avoiding apologist and dhimmis) and read the trilogy. Do not hold opinions you cannot justify about islam. To do so invites dhimmitude and disaster.
