  • Do you know if anyone is flying an H-bird with a 4A084 mil engine?

  • The aeromorph engine was the subject of a sports aviation article (EAA magazine). The engine was a narrowed and destroked VW flat 4. I think it ended up being about 1800 cc. A friend of his did the engine work. It is not a twin cylinder. The cowling was built up over the old sheet metal. I think the engine was narrowed 12 inches...

  • Cut out the noise!

  • crummy video

  • I came here to HEAR it run, that would have been wonderful but instead I get a damn horn playing in my ear whats up, ?? Planes do not sound like horns, they are planes and they should sound like planes, dissappointing !!! jm

  • Did you see any shots with the engine running? No it was all ground shots so all you would have heard was background noise anyways, so get over it.

  • Kool bird, I like the engine cowl. Who is singing the Fly Me To The Moon song you used, thanks

  • Nice H-Bird, whats the engine in the one with a round cowl and no VW cyclinders?

  • That has a modified two cylinder engine called an AeroMorph. The plane was built by David Roe and is no longer flying. I heard he got it up to 170 mph before retiring the plane.

  • Is he building something else? I remember Dave flying into the copperstate at WGA in the late 90's. I was friends with some guys who were building a modified tricycle gear version of the hummel. They were friends with Dave and took alot of notes from his experience and knowledge.

  • thats a nice modified watson windwagon
