what is with the "magical girl" genre of anime? i mean sure theres plenty of other anime out there where boys have other kinds of powers, but girls get them too. so why cant boys be magical and hive big dramatic over the top transformation scenes? dbz gives a character 1 scene for every new form and you never see a scene for it again. everything else seems to have them change instantly (with few exceptions). so why cant a boy have a moment of magic and drama when girls get like hundreds?
I really liked Kampfer. I didn't exoect too much but I got something enjoyable. Not the best anime ever but a pretty good watch. I was disappointed when the ac kind of just vanished but I didn't mind every episode on its own. As long as I knew the backstory they were pretty good on their own at times. Although I hate the love square(? IDK) going on in it. It just bothers me when there's no solid love interest.

@plzdiapermenow I was really getting excited about Kampfer when I was watching the first 1/2 of the season - and then got more depressed as the season went on. It's too bad. Kampfer could have been a great great anime if they kept with the tone and focus they had in the first 1/2 of the season.

Cool top 10 list. There are a few here I haven't seen yet so I will definitely check those out. I can't believe you didn't include Fushigi Yuugi though. Nuriko is one of the all time great transgendered characters. Plus there's the bath house short where everyone has to dress up like a girl.

I couldn't tell you definitively why this is - but I wonder if there's just more of a general interest in seeing men turn into women - then women into men. I certainly know there are more men wanting to women - then woman wanting to men on average. I just read a study on a group of TG people that showed 3 out of every 4 TG persons is MtF. Compared to 1 out of every 4 are FtM

I'm a sucker for ghost stories. Who wouldn't want to become Maya. And I was happy that GRYF came on board to do the actual transformation scene.

@zachpach101 If you were 100% a woman, and were being pumped with loads more estrogen to tell your biological self - that you need to mate with the opposite sex - then I would think you are not gay. But then again... that might be a matter of opinion over biological over social sexual preference. Hard to say in the end. We are so used to it being man/woman in most relationships. I don't see anything wrong with same sex relationships either - but then those are classified as "gay".
@Dexoy7 I thought the series started off really good. I was totally invested in it. And then it kind of lost steam towards the latter episodes. Yeah... I wish there was another full season.
It isn't an episode, it is the second movie Nihao My Concubine. Great but not as fun as the first movie or the episodes (in my opinion). Of course, Ranma + anything= awesome so I'd still recommend it!

Hrm...You do know that Tenshi na Konamiki/Cheeky Angel really shouldn't count right? Maybe you never saw the reveal stuff... Disappointment. Also if you liked Kampfer you should really read the manga over the anime. The manga is actually far better story wise and goes on a lot longer then the anime considering that I believe it's still ongoing.
@frice2000 If you're looking for a tf with "process" than yes... I would agree that Cheeky Angel wouldn't count. And I did take that into consideration. But I felt the overall series (50 episodes) was one of the better stories that really delt with a male character trying to deal with being a woman - and how it was effecting him/her. The whole scene where the genie in the book changes him - is the moment where he tf's. But it happens off screen - so you never see the process :(

@borborcarcar (Miss Mako): Yeah... I actually made the movie. But GRYF did the transformation for me. GRYF used to be of of the best internet TF artists I've known. He's gone on to work on some pretty big movies as more of an art director, now. I was lucky to be able to work with him.

@zachpach101 If you were 100% a woman, and were being pumped with loads more estrogen to tell your biological self - that you need to mate with the opposite sex - then I would think you are not gay. But then again... that might be a matter of opinion over biological over social sexual preference. Hard to say in the end. We are so used to it being man/woman in most relationships. I don't see anything wrong with same sex relationships either - but then those are classified as "gay".

@Dexoy7 I thought the series started off really good. I was totally invested in it. And then it kind of lost steam towards the latter episodes. Yeah... I wish there was another full season.

It isn't an episode, it is the second movie Nihao My Concubine. Great but not as fun as the first movie or the episodes (in my opinion). Of course, Ranma + anything= awesome so I'd still recommend it!

As for Vore... not sure about that one yet. I'll look into it. I have a few things I've liked - but not enough to maybe warrant a top 10 list.

Hrm...You do know that Tenshi na Konamiki/Cheeky Angel really shouldn't count right? Maybe you never saw the reveal stuff... Disappointment. Also if you liked Kampfer you should really read the manga over the anime. The manga is actually far better story wise and goes on a lot longer then the anime considering that I believe it's still ongoing.

@frice2000 If you're looking for a tf with "process" than yes... I would agree that Cheeky Angel wouldn't count. And I did take that into consideration. But I felt the overall series (50 episodes) was one of the better stories that really delt with a male character trying to deal with being a woman - and how it was effecting him/her. The whole scene where the genie in the book changes him - is the moment where he tf's. But it happens off screen - so you never see the process :(
