It's not V-tech and, V-TEC doesn't have anything with racing engines, specially not in MUGEN engines in IRL, Nippon Formula, Super GT, overall Honda Racing.
mine is the 956 :) since I liked the group C rules more, and the 962 (at least if it´s in original condition) has a single Turbo instead of the biturbo of the 956 and 962C.
Bridgestone Stickers with Goodyears mounted on the car? someone's gonna get in trouble, lol, even if they were just tires to get through the pits, at least black out the logos.
LOL no kidding, if there is a non-historic series racing 962's, I'd like to know.
Relax dude it was a joke, but you have to admit, IF you saw such a thing in any MODERN racing series, someone would get fined, or lose a sponsor because of it, or cause some kind of stir up.
Sorry I didn't imply the correct connotation in my comment to meet your entertainment needs.
didnt sound like much lol you dont know to much about cars idling. That sound i believe is the sound of nitromethane that car was probably putting out around 2000hp+ just from the sound of nitromethane alone.
Accually you don't know anything about idling.. that car isnt running on nitromethane and it wouldnt put out 2000hp with just nitromethane.. if it did have nitro that camera guy wouldnt be that close and those cars wouldnt even make a lap around the track without running out of gas....
youre right on the non nitro part, but wrong about the camera guy! I would and have been that close to a nitro car! and it never sucks any less and yet it is totally worth it..
That's up to you if you want to or not but it's not a good idea to stand there and watch it idle with nitro, although it's funny when you do and you feel what the nitro does to you. Nitro does suck less though but i dont know how much it will effect this car on gas mileage and you correct it's totally worth it.
running nitro?!?! on this car??!?! wow kids. it's not worth it. that car is a beast in itself to handle, and was built to the peak of every piece in that car's tolerance. it's as fast as it can go. more power and it would ruin traction. the car goes over 200mph as it is!
Actually, that car is one of the best handling cars out, since i think it's posted the fastest lap time around nurburgring i think, plus i never said i ran on nitro, that veyron kid did...
@Ilovetypography considering the interior is not stripped out and that is design to have that kind of performance yet run for an extremely long time yes. most race car engines only last between 600-1000 miles and thats it unless your doing a really long endurance race in which case after the race its scrap.... also the Veyron is made livable on the road.... its comfortable and yet still maintains its performance thats why it is one of the greatest pieces of vehicle engineering
@MrTNL3 That's not entirely true, racing engines are meant to last for as long as possible considering in some racing classes teams are only allowed a few engines per season and they still have very long endurance races to run, LMS for example. Most teams run them at least 3 races before swapping out and reffiting them, that way they always have a replacement. So they don't last as long because of conditions but they still have to be usable for a long time. Engines can rack up a lot of miles.

I take it it staled because of the valves being open so wide. thats why v-tech and that kinda crap is good. but back then they didnt have that stuff.

@modobomber How about you acquiant yourself with the facts before you engage in 'calling people out' as Americans call it.
This 962c did run Nitromethane and put out in the region of 2000+ horsepower at one stage. Believe it.
KBKGchinkychinky 2 years ago
Shut up about nitro, he running on petrol.
3 litre twinturbo flat-6 - 730 hp
top speed - ~252 mph.
