I tried really hard for my first day too! I made sure my jeans were clean (I've only got to pairs to pick from now haha), and wore a new shirt that hadn't been too stretched out yet XDDDDDD
Love ya guuuurl! I'm getting caught up because my youtube account hasnt been alerting me to udpates!
As for the hair, keep it sleek. Adding volume or doing anything you wouldn't normally do every day would seem like you're trying too hard. Since I have the same hair type/cut as you, I would suggest just blow drying it with a round brush really quickly. Don't worry about separating the hair in little sections. Then tease the hair at the crown a little, and pull back your bangs with bobby pins. That way, your bangs will be out of your face, and you won't always have to touch your hair in class =)
I love your boots as well. They seem to be very versatile as they could work with both pants and skirts/dresses. What I would suggest is perhaps pair them up with dark blue jeans or gray jeans for the first day of school. I think the boots would be more noticeable that way, and they won't give off too much of a 'cat woman' effect with the black pants. Keep the shirt. Perhaps tuck it in with a nice belt, to add a pop of colour to your outfit. I'm a big believer in defining one's waist. =)
i love those boots! i never know what to do with my hair too! on days where i done fix it up in anyway i pin a section of my bangs off to the side in a slightly poofy way or i do the LC braid
Since the pants/boots are body-hugging, and the shirt is 'baggy', going with curly/big hair might give a 'small bottom/big top' sort of look, where as straight hair would mix it up a little bit. Wavy hair, like your's is in the video, goes along the same lines as straight. Good luck and have fun in school :]

Woah~ O_O You go to George Mason! I do too :D
Very trendy outfit -- I like your shirt, but I don't think I can rock the plaid as well as you do :]

Your in University!? Whoa, I thought you were still in High School XD You look soo young!
And cute outfit! I think you should define your waves and bit more and give it some volume. Then put on a double headband!

In regards to your hair, it depends..
