@AceofSpades1365 yea, it will work automatically, but not always when you want it to. If you time it properly it happens when you want it to, on the first hit of the combo and without taking damage. Most people who just hold the button end up eating shots before they break. Regardless, I rather have morons randomly using their breakers it leaves me with complete control of the match by using meter properly.

I personally think fatalities are totally unnecessary during this matches because the fight is already done takes time and its humiliating for the other player. It like taunting in MVC3 after the match is done and have you ever seen anyone doing that there NOOOO, because they respect each other, should be the same here.

People complaints about this game are very petty. Fatalities will always be a part of the series and rarely seen as being "Disrespectful" to MK players. Mindless or not the breakers cost meter to use and aren't always the best option in a match. Given that this channel host mainly Capcom games I'm not surprised by the amount of complaining...

@Karayashi its when you hold a button down so that when you release it the move comes out. for example a rekka combo with fei long, you press down + cr. jab (hold) -> forward + release cr.jab. its a very useful technique in many fighting games

@Karayashi Do you have MK? If so, choose Kung Lao, jump in the air, and hit your opponent with jumping back kick (O on the PS3), and then press down. You should notice that Kung Lao immediately goes until his dive kick even though you only pressed back kick once. That's the basics of negative edge.

I can say fatalities are nothing like supers and ultras (if anything X-ray moves are the real supers.) since fatalities are more of a humiliation tactic, and in tournament play only really slow down the bracket a bit.

No, Fatalities are extra useless fluff after a match that take up time during tournaments. They get really annoying. Ultras and Supers are ACTUAL GAMEPLAY ELEMENTS WITH REAL EFFECTS DURING THE MATCH (like X-rays in MK9). Will see whether MK9 is tourney worthy or not after EVO (but the button config is the worst crap ever).

It's sad that the players don't execute any fatalities. I understand why they don't but MK is all about fatalities. I wish the fatality system would change so that it could be incorporated into the actual match ala Killer Instinct 2.  If you drained your opponents life past a certain point you could perform a fatality during the round. It would be cool to be able to perform an X-ray move followed by a fatality to truly finish your opponent.
