Ive made sparkler bombs with 5 as little as 5 sparklers and had good results! How tightly and thick you wrap the tape has a lot to do with how big the explosion is.

Hi I have a problem ive tried making a test sparkler bomb with about 18 sparklers and about 3/4 of a roll of electric tape And it didnt blow it just shot a few sparks and made about 100 cubic metres of smoke . . . I dunno if i maybe shouldnt have taped the top or what . . . can anyone help?

Ya, we usually tape the top when we made ours, but all I can think of is that you need more sparklers because there isnt enough powder on 18 to actually make an explosion. I think in the 40s or 50s would be enough, but you will need more tape

I think you just need to put more tape at the top. Make sure its real tight aswell. I always try to leave a slight gap between the tape and the fuse(in my case, about a 16th of an inch gap between 2 sparkler fuses and the electrical tape). If you look at my video "TV vs FIREWORKS" I did that with only 3 packs of sparklers(36) and half a roll of eclectrical tape. Once you have the small ones down you can figure out how to make the bigger ones

(i.e.-1000 sparklers).

Oo almost forgot, using 1 sparkler as the fuse is probably fine, but we used 4, three sticking out and then one sticking out of the three. The fourth sticking out of the 3 was to give us more time to get away from it. We used three as the fuse because if we used one and it went out there would have been like no way to light it and it would have been a waste so we used three to be safe.

You just take some regular "metal type" sparklers, cut off the handles, and wrap them air tight with one poking out for a fuse. Electrical tape is the best tape to use. Dont slack on the tape, or it wont work right.

Ya like others said use a lot of tape. On this one we went through 20 roles of electrical tape. Make sure you tape over the top a lot because if you dont it just sparks out of the top. Ill see if we can edit the video and put some pics of the bomb on it too.

Yeah. The key is taping it near air tight. You have to squeeze as  much as possible without breaking the sparklers, but it needs to be near air tight.

Also, electrical tape is not the best. Strapping tape is. The threading inside it makes it incredibly hard to break. Hard to Break = Kaboom.
