The Zeus Mini amp at 2:57 used to sell for about $100 back in 79 or 80. The music store I worked at carried them. Ive seen them go for like $500 now on ebay. Honestly, they dont sound all that great. My very 1st overdrive pedal was made by the same company (Zeus). I bought it for like $25 or $30. Ive seen them go for about $300 on ebay. With either the mini amp or the preamp i had, you wont get RR's sound. Youd need all his gear know his settings Tho you would get close with the mini amp

Kirk doesnt have shit against Randy, he is one of the most influential guitarist and to this day we still look back to appreciate the two albums that define the word "Legacy", Randy was far ahead of Kirk and any guitarist during that time, his lost has made him a recognizable icon far more than Kirk

@iaintscaredho I'm a big Kirk fan, but I consider Randy to be a more technical and melodic guitarist, which adds up to me considering him in my opinion better than Kirk in particular. However, Kirk has marked some amazing milestones in rock music like for example his playing in the song "One" or the entire "...And Justice For All" album for that matter, without discrediting his earlier works with Metallica.

Freakishly inspirational, and a great trip down memory lane. If one were to see this in the RnR Hall of Fame, they'd likely think "Hell yeah...in honor of a great guitar player". But...since it's in someone's home, for some reason it comes across as obsessive. I personally could care less.where I saw it. RR was the fist guitar player I spent an excessive amt of time copying licks note for note. So for me, this was f'ing awesome to see.

1:29 my guitar looks exactly like that and we got it from a guitar store in Richmond. We had to buy it because it looked just like his. Same color in the same spots to. My guitar looks 100% like his. We have the thing that says RR on it at the top that goes under the strings like he does to. Mine says Jackson the same way.

Plus its not just one person its the world who loved him. he had the most skill for his age of any guiatrist. Eddy van halen his idol wasnt even as good as randy in my opinion. Plus randy never talked much so its really hard to believe hed change the world so much with a guitar. Plus he gave us the best designs of guitars.

rhoads was something so special. he was a tech for sure but with the organic feel of the likes of hendrix, srv. rhoads will always be my favourite player of all time and we only have a couple or so of albums that he left us with. just how good is that? a few albums and anyone who loves guitar gets blown away by what he did. man man man what a legend. thanks for vid.
