Having lived in the Netherlands, UK and USA, America was by far the most dangerous place. Gun violence and gangs in every city, drugs absolutely everywhere.
The UK has problems with crime in the major cities but not so much gun crime and certainly fewer home invasions outside London, Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester.

It is true that a lot of French, German and Belgian people come just across the border (not to Amsterdam) and buy to take it across the border, but that's a problem caused by the drug policy in those countries, and as far as I am concerned its their problem.

We do got some red light districts in The Netherlands with the most famous the one in Amsterdam. But other countries got them to. Its not true that all drug/prostitution seeking Europeans go to Amsterdam because "it's all there". Finding drugs in Amsterdam is as easy as finding it in Madrid, London, LA or New York. It is true that a lot of French, German and Belgian people come just across the border (not to Amsterdam) and buy to take it across the border, but that's a problem caused by the drug policy in those countries, and as far as I am concerned its their problem.

Every country got there good sites and bad sites. At the moment in The Netherlands there is an anti drugs policy. If somebody is smoking drugs on the street the person will get caught and get a big fine, or a prison sentence. We do got some red light districts in The Netherlands with the most famous the one in Amsterdam. But other countries got them to. And that Amsterdam is a walhalla for drug adicts etc. isn't true anymore. Off course The Netherlands got dark sides but Amerika isn't any better

I've been living in Amsterdam for four years, I've never been happier. The only 'problem' here is, that I couldn't study Criminology (with an emphasize on serial killers) because there's not enough work here and I would had to move to the U.S.A. No, thank you.
