  • MAN WHICH AMP DID HE USE AT THAT TIME, been searching for hours goddaaaamn

  • I saw Wilco live.

  • I was 15 when this lot were out and about and they went through out school like a storm!

  • i saw Wilko in tescos shopping the other day ..........southend on sea A127

  • First time I was reminded how great this little number was would from listening to Rock radio, then I caught bbc four programme oil city slicker's about the doctors origins. Wilko comes across as totally insane at first impressions, but dig deeper and the guy is a real diamond. Keep on rocking Wilko wouldn't want you any other way. Also love Lee's harmonica's playing.

  • Why didn't this band get the recognition it deserved?? Totally amazing!!

  • Just so awesome live.

  • Don't they just look like they would beat you up and take your bus fair home, ha. Music doesn't get any more raw than this!!

  • Saw this line up at Hammersmith Odeon sometime in the seventies. Dont think they were as good after Wilco left.

Wish I hadn't smoked Thai Sticks before I went.

  • Wilko Johnson defined this genre. It's much more than just playing the chords. The little lead fills and chops sound like two guitarists. Some times less is more.

  • simply the best

  • ....CANVEY ISLANDS FINEST.

  • If this is Pub rock I'd be an Alcoholic !! Genius

  • Ahhh ... Wilco is class indeed ... but you can't ignore Lee in that suit that just got grubbier as the gigs went on and on .... top band!

  • RIP Lee Rock on Wilko

  • The camera should have stayed on Wilko...bloody great

  • Wilko is now my new guitar hero. Never really listened to these lot before but now love them.

    Wilko Forever

  • A true classic. Their best line up as well. I had a few beers with Lee at the old Nashville, West Ken years back a true gent.

  • A true classic. Their best line up as well.

  • wilko is a dude

  • my dads badn supported these!

  • Don't vote thumbs up as all the good vids seem to disappear now google has taken over. This will be our little secret.

  • What a blast! Never seen or heard of these guys. The Whistle test has some great stuff. Thanks for posting.

  • Lee brilleaux R.I.P.

  • off to watch Oil City Confidential tonight - amazing band

  • brilleux mouthorgan playing is brill

  • Should have gone to the very top!!

  • Used to see them play at Dingwalls.

  • Wilco's playing might sound simple but just try and play that riff and get it sounding the same, I mean exactly the same! It's harder than you think!

  • great band and very underated-their a gr8 live band-rocknroll

  • What a classic !

    Cheers for the posting.

  • wilkos guitar playin is simple but more effective than these 100 note a minute players

  • ATTITUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • never heard of this band- may have to check them out...amazing that the guitarist went on to kick the winning field goal in the 2003 rugby world cup

  • @1ellababy2005

    lllloooolllllllll

  • The whole works. Brilleaux, Wilco, Sparks, Figure...Thanks gents.

  • Wilko Johnson is sheer class. One in a million.

  • Thanks for this post. I forgot all about these guys. I had there first album that came out in the states. I have to go find it again and play it loud and proud.

  • Lo mejor de lo mejor, el resto mariconadas ¡¡¡

  • The stiffest and one of the best. Few understand rhythm and blues quite like Wilco.

  • very very true my friend

  • That is the stiffest guitarist ever :O,his head bobbles like a pidgeon

  • Brilliant!!!

  • I used to serve Lee Brilleaux when I worked in the Grand Hotel at Leigh-on-sSea in 1993. When I found out who he was (and how sick he was) I was impressed about how nice a bloke he was. Great Band.

  • Hey, I saw Lee in the Grand a couple of times doing the crossword in the Telegraph I believe. I also sadly/happily saw his last gig ever at the Dr Feelgood music bar (oysterfleet) in 94, he was dying of non-hodgkin lymphoma I think and I couldn't believe skinny he looked. Still he was determined to go out as a rock n' roller.

  • was it true he sent ataxi to get some ice for gin and tonic -thats mentioned in the film oil city confidential
