  • OMG! I've been there! That's so cool! I've been to Williamsburg, oh yeah! :)

  • old it. They're in real clothes?

  • I wish they would make some of James M McPherson's books an HBO series too. Such as his book on Abraham Lincoln as Commander in Chief,

  • Those panes of glass, try ten thousand at least. I feel like I did everyone of them. I think I lost some brain cells from the fumes of the "treatment."

  • I was at Colonial Williamsburg when they were filming. I was bummed that most of it was closed for filming. Once I found out what they were doing, I was very excited to see the finished product. Jamestown Victory Center was also very cool to go see and experience.

  • History is beautifull........Go conservative...

  • humilde7777, tell that to this great history's director, a staunch liberal.

  • A classical liberal NOT a phony "progressive" Liberal.

    Get some perspective.

  • Conservatives were Royalists.

Gun-toting Progressives help found the US.

Willfully ignorant & greedy "conservatives" will(have?) destroy it.

  • Well those that founded this country were for individual freedom that needs to be protected from the collective.

Progressive liberals favor individual freedom through collective action unions regulations and their desire for universal health care.

I doubt that Jefferson would favor this collective action. Jefferson was in many ways a individualist and not for collective action. The government that has the power to give you everything you need has the power to take it away" Thomas Jefferson.

  • @davidmesaaz jefferson was also largely in favor of revolution. He said that people need a revolution every now and then to check the powers of government. this would lead me to believe that he would support this sort of collective action.

  • could not possibly be more excited about this. reading McCullough's '1776' right now. if they can make this visually as poetic as he writes it, it should be amazing

  • spectacular production set- can't wait to watch the show.

  • If both "Rome" and "Deadwood" give an indication of HBO's ability to visually display and dramatically expound a chapter in human history, then "John Adams" will truly be another period piece, masterfully told to a modern audience. }:^)

  • I don't appreciate you guys keep saying dirty and Boston together. Boston is beautiful now and I'm sure Boston had it's nice spots then to. In any event, I'm really looking forward to this mini-series. Every American should be interested in this. Since I am from and live in Boston...I'm also a fan of local history, this "John Adams" is something I feel I'm going to seek my teeth into. HBO RULES!
