Guru Larry's Retro Corner - NiGHTS Into Dreams (Sega Saturn / PS2)

The PS1 had the first analog controller of the 5th generation consoles. It was the SCPH-1110 twin analog joysticks which were released in April 1996, a few months before the Saturns one and the N64's release. Some think the PS1's pre Dual Shock standard analog controller SCPH-1180 as that consoles first but the first was actually the twin analog! I'm afraid it's only because I'm a PS1 collector that I'm sad enough to know this :$ Had I kept collecting other stuff, it would have passed me by too.

I had a Saturn and NiGHTS and Christmas NiGHTS. I didn't really enjoy NiGHTS for some reason but did like Christmas NiGHTS. Make of that what you will.

I remember the Christmas demo version of this game, one thing that always bugged me about it was, it wasn't 3D in the same sense as Mario 64 even though it looks 3D you didn't have the same freedom.

Awesome game! and original too. Prolly my fave Saturn title. It's a shame the Wii version was rubbish.

NiGHTS is the only game I own a sealed copy of. Thanks for re-uploading :) One of my favorite episodes!!

Christmas NiGHTS is one of my alltime favourite games. Not to mention, a christmas tradition to me. Playing it, and then popping in Hogfather in the dvd, now THATS christmas! ^^
