playing wow in a group is more about tactics, euipment and skill optimizations, which has to be good in boss encounters... the starwars group gameplay seams more like a giant hack and slay

That's my opinion of this game.... the fights are looking lame, the graphics aren't as good as in GW2 and environment is looking much more great in GW2. OMFG good job Bioware for destroying a game series that had a great story the story for this game was so good that not even southpeak games could have messed this one up. But i guess this game needed a crapy sequel to make the other 2 better. The only way they could repair the damage done here is if they throw it on a system ps3 or even xbox.

I can only repeat: A WoW-Clone will NEVER bring WoW to fall. And you know why? Because it has been improved for the last 6 years. The World is huge. There is much to do, you can do events, it runs very stable, has a large Community and there are not much bugs. Maybe games like Rift or Star Wars looks better but as long they dont do anything different than WoW especially in gameplay, I dont see much sucess in these MMOs. Mabye Star Wars will get some because of its name but thats it...
Well MANY people are growing tired of the direction WoW has been going. It is becoming much more mainstreamed and even repetative. And Starwars will have many differences than wow which will end up overweighing the similarities.

@thgrtedf i dont know if it is made like in WoW, that the level of the enemie is green as it's below your level, but if you look at 3:38 and look in the action bar on the right and look at the enemies level.. well it looks to me as if it was green like level25 and as u can see on the left, this Sith-Warrior has level30.. so this could also be an intent, why it's so easy for those aaaand maybe it is, cause they're doing this together and not single :) or it just isn't balanced enough in this vid

But we all know that Blizzard needs a decade to develop their games, and they will have to work hard to make something better than SWTOR, so we can expect it around 2030. Man i had high hopes for this, but as far as i can see JK is still better in my personal opinion. But as far as i could see they need rethink the difficulty, because he never came close to death once, he flung everything that came his way with very little trouble.
@clovelywindheaven Warhammer promised this. a year later its down to 30%. GW try to beat it with free online. Has 1/15 the pop. now. Wether you like it or not, WoW wont die, even if it does its not like Blizzard is just gonna lie down, theyre undoubtetly going to make another mmo or even a WoW 2.
@clovelywindheaven This isn't true, fact remains that WoW is a better executed mmo at this moment. All the MMO's you named have issues (like wow did) at the start. Ofcourse the idea after those games is great, and i probably will buy SWTOR but you also have to be realistic.
@Fritsie93 I actually agree with you..after playing rift (although i like the game its not a pvp game and does not cater to all crowds) and further testing Tera..these two games are kind of broken...WoW will no doubt still reign supreme, because as you said its just better executed and has a solid grip on loyal subscribers atm. @clovelywindheaven Yeah i am looking forward to Diablo 3 aswell, but still just because TOR is made by Bioware (who gained my full trust even after the average DA2). KOTOR still remains one of my favorite games and after seeing GW2 i definately choose TOR. I just don't like the whole feeling of GW but that is ofcourse my opinion. And yes after the first patches GW and TOR will pass by WoW in subs, because the WoW community gets sick of the repetetiveness of WoW.

The only development team i can think of who really cares for their community is Valve.

I don't like the way they're going with the addons but it's no coincidence that WoW (which is 6 years old) is still the most popular MMO to date. It revolutionized the Genre and provided lovely and detailed graphics and landscapes which none of the other mmos provided. Even TOR which has a ridiculously high budget and is developed by one of the most respected studios, looks just the same as WoW.

and their touching up on the old world zones like darkshore is broken up now, desolace has grass and trees thats it. Its more like an update, a big patch if you want, not an expansion, its the gameplay that needs changing, i find it so repetitive now after playing for a few years and im not the only one who thinks blizzard are getting lazy and care more about money than they do their gamers and wow itself. What idiots, they have a year or so to polish it up before release, even in alpha its better looking than any mmorpg on the market at the moment. Ive played wow for years and it has gotten so stale and i dont think catacalysm will revive it at all, far as graphics aion is superior to any atm. I cant wait to give this a try and will probably try out GW2. Final Fantasy is a maybe, but no jumping and slow choppy combat makes me wonder if its worth a spin.
For me will wow stay for me is still better,i play on tbc it need skill this game i tryed and its total easy wow TBC is much harder and so more fun:)

WoW released in 2004 and its 2011 now with still around 10 mil active subs.
In terms of longlivity WoW made people play mmo's and iam gratefull for that.
They made alot of bad decisions over the past years no doubt.
I will be playing GW2 when its released and will always think about the fun i had in 2004/2005 in WoW.

Well MANY people are growing tired of the direction WoW has been going. It is becoming much more mainstreamed and even repetative. And Starwars will have many differences than wow which will end up overweighing the similarities.

@Finalzero I play WoW and there isn't THAT MUCH to do. Heroics/Raiding and Bg/Arena and for the most part PVP has a niche crowd. I dont like it.
It looks like a lot, but honestly how much of your time is spent waiting around in Org/SW in queues for the same dungeons you've run a million times?

@thgrtedf i dont know if it is made like in WoW, that the level of the enemie is green as it's below your level, but if you look at 3:38 and look in the action bar on the right and look at the enemies level.. well it looks to me as if it was green like level25 and as u can see on the left, this Sith-Warrior has level30.. so this could also be an intent, why it's so easy for those aaaand maybe it is, cause they're doing this together and not single :) or it just isn't balanced enough in this vid

Man i had high hopes for this, but as far as i can see JK is still better in my personal opinion. But as far as i could see they need rethink the difficulty, because he never came close to death once, he flung everything that came his way with very little trouble.

top mmos of 2011 and onwards in ORDER:
1. SWOTOR (eventually will hold highest n0 of subs in future)
2.GW2 (NCSOFT will sell double or more n0 of units they did of gw1)
3. TERA (will hold its own and n0 of subs will increase when ppl realise just how good the game is (i beta tested this)
4RIFT (super polishe AAA mmo combination of EQ, WOW, warhammer style) will also hold good amount of subs
we will eventually see the decline of WOW ...as soon at these hit no doubt..it wont last any longer..

@clovelywindheaven Warhammer promised this. a year later its down to 30%. GW try to beat it with free online. Has 1/15 the pop. now. Wether you like it or not, WoW wont die, even if it does its not like Blizzard is just gonna lie down, theyre undoubtetly going to make another mmo or even a WoW 2.

@Fritsie93 I actually agree with you..after playing rift (although i like the game its not a pvp game and does not cater to all crowds) and further testing Tera..these two games are kind of broken...WoW will no doubt still reign supreme, because as you said its just better executed and has a solid grip on loyal subscribers atm. Although! I still think GW2 and Kotor will EVENTUALLY supersede wow. ..Personally im just looking forward to, Diablo 3, GW2, Torchlight 2. non sub and high quality games

@clovelywindheaven Yeah i am looking forward to Diablo 3 aswell, but still just because TOR is made by Bioware (who gained my full trust even after the average DA2). KOTOR still remains one of my favorite games and after seeing GW2 i definately choose TOR. I just don't like the whole feeling of GW but that is ofcourse my opinion. And yes after the first patches GW and TOR will pass by WoW in subs, because the WoW community gets sick of the repetetiveness of WoW.

But yeah, dragon age 1 dfinately was great, the second one was a total dissapointment made for the mainstream. Anyway i really have my hopes up for TOR, seeing how KOTOR was so great. The only development team i can think of who really cares for their community is Valve.

Now, I am not a fan of WoW, but that won't happen any time soon. I think, the only mmo, that will truly "beat" WoW, is going to be Blizzards own, new Titan MMO. PS: I am a Age of Conan and SWG fan.

I don't like the way they're going with the addons but it's no coincidence that WoW (which is 6 years old) is still the most popular MMO to date. It revolutionized the Genre and provided lovely and detailed graphics and landscapes which none of the other mmos provided. Even TOR which has a ridiculously high budget and is developed by one of the most respected studios, looks just the same as WoW.

and their touching up on the old world zones like darkshore is broken up now, desolace has grass and trees thats it. Its more like an update, a big patch if you want, not an expansion, its the gameplay that needs changing, i find it so repetitive now after playing for a few years and im not the only one who thinks blizzard are getting lazy and care more about money than they do their gamers and wow itself. So yeah bioware will be big competition for these guys because bio are10 times better imo

What idiots, they have a year or so to polish it up before release, even in alpha its better looking than any mmorpg on the market at the moment. Ive played wow for years and it has gotten so stale and i dont think catacalysm will revive it at all, far as graphics aion is superior to any atm. I cant wait to give this a try and will probably try out GW2. Final Fantasy is a maybe, but no jumping and slow choppy combat makes me wonder if its worth a spin.
