with all the sound errors this has on windows 7 its not even cool ruins the entire game for me. No music cant even hear the countdown. only when its good does it play the gun sounds.

@MondoMiniman There's a downloadable fix for the sound in Vista and 7, and it's easy to do. Just look it up.

@ASubHumanOfSociety yeah, i did the patch right after posting this and it worked, the only reason i didnt do it before was because i had previously installed it on Vista and it didnt work, so ..yeah

@supertyflash I've only played Max Payne on the GBA, but it's the same storyline so...

Nicole Horne is an influential business figure in the city who is CEO of a company somehow involved with the death of Max Payne's family. Because Payne's wife accessed the Operation Valhalla files, i.e. files on a performance-enhacing drug called Valkyr that was originally intended to be used on soldiers in order to combat fatigue, but this top-secret government project was stopped. Horne kept funding tho.

@chatrapaul Because Mrs. Payne found out, Horne got some junkies high on Valkyr to break into the Paynes' house and kill the mother and chid. As Mrs Payne worked part-time as an assistant to the DA, Horne didn't want Mrs Payne to rat her out and so had her killed.

Max is arrested (obviously) for fleeing from the police and killing hunderds of people.

But Alfred Woden is there and because of what Max did for him, he will use his power as leader of the inner circle to get Max out of jail
