trying not to be hateful, but the koreans were demonstrating in their country, about issues that affect them...or at least what a handful of people think. the audacity of these chinese to...... i hope those students appreciate the freedom that they've abused that day. oh yeah, and to the fenqing who posted something about being formidable, that's really easy to say in front of a computer screen.

What they were saying is irrelevant. What they were doing was swarming a group of protesters who were standing on a truck, protesting China's repatriation of North Koreans. They attacked a group of Koreans, IN KOREA, who were concerned about the fate of the North Koreans.

You can love China all you want. Doesn't mean it's blameless. In fact, it has a horrible human rights record, even against its own people. Do your research.

Some Chinese students are arrested for this in South Korea and more netizens in China are mobilizing to boycott Korea products for the arresting of these Chinese students. I don't think Chinese government could control its young netizens who over 200 million strong. Anyway, France will feel safe as Chinese youth has found a new target---South Korea. For what? Face saving?

The danger was not too great, and like I say, the riot police did an excellent job. At the beginning I was afraid of being squished, and after that, I was afraid of getting hit by one of the many objects flying through the air.

Actually Korea does accept their North Korean brothers and sisters. So China should send them here, not back there. Besides, the refugees are not asking China to support them. They find work as they try to make their way to freedom. How can anyone with a conscience send them back to N. Korea, where they will surely be sent to labour camps as punishment?

I am very disappointed with South Koreans. They mention about the human rights issue with North Koreans refugees in China, but are not willing to take in the large number of their own brothers and sisters from the North. China does not want a humantarian crisis. Who is going to provide food and shelter too these refugees? So it has no choice but to send them back to the North.

It's called the likelihood of them being able to get a job and survive is much better in South Korea than it is in the North.
