@xxpinkfunxx It is disgusting to see puppies being sold for profit. It is disgusting to know that they supply their 2 stores from "USDA Certified" puppy mills. Yes, the USDA oversees the legal puppy mills that Pet Express gets their animals from. Anyone can do a search on YouTube for 'puppy mill' and see how inhumane and cruel these houses of horror are.
to marelee02152 & xxpinkfunxx : do you know where they get their animals from? why would anyone support puppy mills when anyone can walk into a shelter across the country and find a puppy needing a home
@mcSiteNet actually yes I know exactly where they come from, and no one in their right mind knowingly supports puppy mills. Unfortunately the business PET EXPRESS replaced pet CLUB express in the same mall, the previous one was a chain they have (or had rather) many stores, this new store is family owned with only two stores,
and not just anyone can go into a shelter and adopt, many MANY people are turned down at shelters.
@xxpinkfunxx If people are turned down by shelters they shouldn't be getting an animal. If PET EXPRESS is so different from PET CLUB EXPRESS why didn't they go out of their way to make sure the name of the store was in no way CLOSE to the old one? It's just a prettier version of the old store... bottom line, THEY ARE SELLING ANIMALS FOR **PROFIT** They supply their stores from the same pool as all "pet stores" - Puppy Mills. The new store isn't fooling anyone, sorry.
Just so you KNOW the pet store in Liberty Tree Mall NOW PET EXPRESS ! I personaly know the owners....they are a family owned and operated business that has been in business for almost 15 years . their first store is located in Lynn , MA . I think you need to get all your facts straight before you go bashing people and companies about things you only speculate! Pet CLUB Express was a corperate owned company who's parent company was Debbie's Pet Land.
No one said anything to me, it was pretty busy since it was holiday season. I had my BlackBerry out just filming away... they may have thought I was just taking pictures. Keep trying to film, the more of these type videos linked to Pet Club Express & other pet stores the better! When people search on Google for their pet shops and find these videos that COULD BE enough to stop a few of them from buying. Keep up the good fight! Be sure to let me know if you do video and I'll rate + comment.
this is a prime example of the neglect faced in pet stores all around the country. it's about time we phased out this cruel tradition which flies in the face of animal welfare values, merely continuing to perpetuate the culture of puppy mills.
in a country where millions of unwanted animals are euthanised each year in shelters, encouraging this type of consumerism is unacceptable.
I have seen the new place. It is disgusting.
