Music IS haraam in Islam because Dajaal is said to come through Music and only the true believers will know who Dajaal is. Those listening to this new artist will most likely sing along with him. His music will be verses of the Qu`ran recited backwards. The lyrics will immediately make them non-Believers.

From the knowledge Ive received thus far, nasheeds are Halal because they dont encourage Fitna. Since we mostly listen to music now, its an easy way for us to memorize the teachings of Islam.

@fbb35r that´s right, but in the case of big Kufr or Shirk, we have to call them Kufar. You mean the Hadih where the Prophet a.s.s. said that we have to cover the muslim brother mistakes, so Allah will cover up our mistakes...but broth, not if they practice shirk!!!

The scholars are not yet decided if music is haraam people! I rather have myself listining to these Brothers who preach about Islam then other songs who only incourage fitna even more.. So don't be so quick to judge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!! Let the judging to the One and Only.. Allah (swt).

Actually they have, Music is haram. This is the correct Sunni perspective (Mainstream Islam). Maybe other un-Islamic sects differ on this issue.
