  • he forgot to mention that you need to verify that you are in Neutral b4 started up the motorcycle…. lol

  • I don't think Michael Levin knows what counter-steering is; since his explanation is the opposite of what you're supposed to do with the handle bars. And yet.....somehow.........he owns a motorcycle shop.

I love it how he posted his shop info; because now people know what shop to avoid if they want to keep their bikes without suffering an accident because of the way they "fix" bikes...watch his other videos to now what im talking about if you people haven't seen it yet.

  • huh.. so when u turn youre steer left you go right..? O.o

  • javanity08, you obviously dont ride, go ahead and listen to him and turn the handle bars right to go right, i dont think anyone will feel bad for you when they have to scrape your mangled body off the road with a shovel!!!!

  • this dude is gonna get someone killed, DONT listen to him, its push left look left go left, and visa versa, he needs to take a motorcycle safety course or stop making these stupid god damn videos....... DUMBASS

  • Yall obviously don't ride. Have you ever heard of counter steering. He is teaching this method. Google it, then apologize to the guy.

  • this guy gonna get me killed. he said, steer the handle bars to the left to go right. but 1:44 shows me.he turn the handle bars to the right.and the bike turns to the right ! omg.

  • if any1 wanna die just follow this guy

  • flag this retard! some1s gnna die cuz of u!

  • Retard its the same on a bicycle

  • You and I and everyone else is applying the same exact physical input into the motorcycle to get the bike turned. It is easier to remember to push the handle bar in the direction of the turn. Push left and go left. Push right and go right. SIMPLE. It is not opposite of what I think. I know how a motorcycle turns.

  • YOU GOT IT BACK TO FRONT HOW DUMB NEED TO REMOVE THIS WRONG INFO

  • Not quite right mate. write it down first before you talk and check it before videoing and re-video if you messed up like in this video!!!.......

  • what a dick! you do counter steer a bicycle just like a motorbike, its just a smaller movment. squid!!

  • yeah he said it backwards lol

  • I can't believe that you haven't posted a video to clean up the horrible misinformation you gave.

  • He's gunna kill someone. =/ He's giving the right information, but he's saying it in an odd way.

  • SHIT!,I ALMOAST CRASHED MAN!!! GET THIS VIDEO OFF THE INTERNET..U A LIAR!

  • hehe... what a guy...

  • wow realy wouldnt want you to fix my bike lol you dont even know how to ride lmao

  • this guy is soooo wrong about counter steering!

You push on the side you want to go and this is only done about 15 or so mph depending on the bike.

If you push the left handle bar away from you, the bike will turn left.

  • yeah i think thats a bit of mis-explanation @ 1:28 I'm sure the presenter meant to say "push left on the bars and go left" NOT push on the right bar to go left! :) Also yeah I agree with the other comments, its not very good "expert howto" demonstrating to ride a sport bike with no protective gear on at all except a helmet!

Dress to crash not for the weather or to impress.

  • it looks like he tried to go right at first but messed up and went left lol

  • at that speed pulling away you dont counter steer, what the fuck is he on about.

he's goint to have people going really slow and turning the wheel left and leaning right to counter steer, and they will just topple over.if anyones trying to learn how to ride a bike from info on the internet dont bother, get someone to help you in person and be gentle with everything.

  • &^%*()#$ retard

  • Ge has confused me too. It doesn't sound right.

  • Notice that he has absolutely no protective gear on except for a helmet. No gloves, no jacket, no pants......no brains. Don't listen to this advice. The narrator has no idea what he is talking about.

  • Hey Michael Levin:

You got it all wrong. Push left to go left. Push right to go right. Also bicycles steer in the same way. You race motorcycles? I am glad that I never had you next to me on the starting grid. You are giving out the wrong information. YOU NEED TO TAKE THE MSF SAFETY COURSE.

  • at 1:20-1:30 did he practically repeat himself... becuz i do this on my bycicle

  • @DSNCB919 He does not know how to explain steering. He actually has it backward. All he had to say was, Push left go left, push right go right. This guy races motorcycles? I wonder if he ever finishes a race without crashing into someone or something.

  • @motormanish YEAH He had me totally confused because every other person I've ever been taught by has told me you push left to go left and vice versa :/

  • @motormanish You are wrong friend, this guy is right, for me this was strange in the start but make sence and i checked myself, try and you will see this is correct, google that and you will see, this is part that i found......

Something many new motorcycle riders may not understand (or perhaps may not even be aware of,) is the effect of countersteering. Countersteering involves turning the front wheel in the opposite direction you want to turn the bike.

  • @boskozvanidivljak I hate to break it to you but you have no idea what you are talking about. You must put pressure on the bar in the direction of the turn. For example, push left to go left and push right to go right.

I teach motorcycle riding for a living, so I know what I am talking about. Mr. Levin has no clue. If you listen to the video again, you will here him describe it backward.

It is simple to remember..Push left, go left. Push right, go right

  • @motormanish I didn't notice that until few days ago when i was told by one instructor This way is working only if you are leaning with bike percentage is so small that is really hard to notice. I'm biker, i have hayabusa and trust me didn't notice that until i was told. If you are turning right, you have to lean on right side and if you turn your steer wheel right nose of the bike could crush down, But everyone has right on own opinion.

  • @boskozvanidivljak This is not a matter of someone's opinion. This is a matter of knowing the correct method to getting a motorcycle turned.

You stated that I was wrong, when in fact I was giving out the correct information. You have no idea what you are doing. You ride a Busa? I'll bet it is your first motorcycle too.

  • @motormanish mate i'm riding bikes since i was 12, now i'm 32 so busa is not my first bike, i changed many bikes in my life and this thing about turning i heard from profesional bike instructor who's riding bikes for 4 years and tester (guy who's testing you when you are going for your driving test) as i said before i didn't noticed that because of very, very small movement.

google that and you will see, i found that on google as well. I have no needs for more comments.

    Bye

  • @boskozvanidivljak I have been riding motorcycles for 35 years and I am an instructor who teaches motorcycle riding for a living. I know how to turn a motorcycle..quite well, thank you.

I know you have no need for any more comments....but you do need to go to English class.

You have been riding bikes since you were 12 and now you are 32? It took you all this time to figure out how to turn a motorcycle? You give a whole new meaning to the term " Slow Learner."

  • @motormanish english is not my first (mother) language but I'm happy with my english, if you can talk and write MY first language close like i can english then let me know.

Try to ride 100+km/h, i.e in right bent lean on right side ant turn your steer wheel on right as well and let me know then where did you end up.

Like I said google that and you will see and if you are instructor you should know better you are some "looser instructor"

And MY english have no connection with this topic

  • @boskozvanidivljak You are dumb. I tried to explain it in simple terms but you still do not understand. I don't need to look up anything on how to turn a motorcycle because I already know what to do. Push on the right grip and you go right. Push on the left grip and you go left. You are the loser. You don't know how to ride and your English sucks as well. Fail on two counts.

  • @boskozvanidivljak How many motorcycles have you seen with a steering wheel? Are you talking about cars or motorcycles? WTF?

  • @motormanish Be sure the handlebar where you're exerting the force isn't that right? My bike riding isn't expert at all however in a curve one hand needs to be on the forward thrusting. Due to back & leg spasms my riding is hypothetical but like giving an opinion.

  • @thanksyounow Push in the direction you want to go. ENOUGH SAID. OMFG Is it that difficult to comprehend?

  • @boskozvanidivljak All two wheeled vehicles steer in the same manor, whether it is a bicycle, moped, scooter or motorcycle.

To turn the vehicle, you must put pressure on the hand grip in the direction of turn. Push left to go left. Push right to go right.

So simple...but so confusing to most people.....especially Mr. Levin.

Take this video off of youtube or someone is going to get hurt if they don't understand this concept.

  • @boskozvanidivljak "Notice John is wearing his safety helmet" True...but the idiot doesn't have anything else on the protect his skin if he has a crash.

"He's turning left so he is pushing on the right" This is incorrect. If he were pushing on the right...he would turn right.

Oh my fucking God.....Please take this video off of this site before someone listens to this moron and does something stupid.

  • @motormanish he's right, he just didnt explain too well, you do it too, you just don't notice you do it.

  • @zedzulzorander He is wrong. He has it backward. I know how to turn a motorcycle. I teach motorcycle riding for a living. lol

He has no clue how to explain it.

  • @motormanish dude, there are vids all over the internet explaining it. look it up.

  • @motormanish i agree that he doesnt know how to explain it.

  • @motormanish yea no shit, i don't think this guys knows what the fuk he is talking about...

  • His demonstration only has meaning below approximately 10 m.p.h., above which speed the bike becomes stabilized. Above 10 m.p.h., you push left, lean left, go left. Simple.

  • 1:40 isn't it push left, go left?

  • @ledzurso Yes, it is. This guy has no idea what he's talking about.

  • Yes it is.You are correct. He is incorrect.

  • i dunno this guy confused me
