  • PURE GENIUSxx

  • Mick Karn was one of the best bass players to have ever existed and that is a fact that you can't argue with. I hope Mick Karn got what he wanted out of life and much more, unfourtanetly it ended far too soon but he left behind some real music for future generations to listen to and be amazed. You may not think his music will carry on through the generations but I will be sure to pass it on to my kids if I ever have any. I'm 18 so it just proves that lesser known artists can still be loved again

  • Mick Karn, Mark King and Mik Sweeney were the best bassists in the 80's

  • I saw this great bass player playing with Japan at the Hammersmith Odeon. He tripped over the stage cables doing a shuffled Japanese walk on stage and laughed. A prodigy for all fretless great bass players. Bill Nelson rated him and that is all I have to say. RIP Mick.

  • HE IS A LIVING LEGEND,

  • he was is and will be UNIQUE DIVINE CHILD.. hellos to all Dalis Car fans and collectors

  • Brilliant bass player

  • Very sad he's no longer here. Such a unique sound and talent.

  • GREAT

  • Oh I'm in shock..I've only just found out..I'm so sad to hear this news...Mick ,May God watch over you..there will never be another bass player as good or as individual as you!..I'll miss you

  • That picture is nuts

  • I'll never forget when i saw japan in edinburgh back in the 80's just to hear mick play that fretless bass. The man is a GOD. R.I.P Mick.

  • I suspect he played the bass that way because nobody ever told him he couldn't.

  • i miss you so very much mick. you were one of the originals. hope the gods will let us see each other again. sleep well my friend.

  • you will never be forgotten mick you are the best bass player,i grief you mick i saw japan in 1986 at newcastle city hall. with rhuchi sacamoto as a guest wow some gig with sandi and the sunset as support..i will never forget theat night...

  • @kisstracey yeh me too awesome gig !!

  • This is unfair! So young and so badly! You have changed my way of looking at the electric bass and approach to music. Good musicians, around, there are many, brilliant and visionary as you think you can count on the fingers of one hand. Thanks for all the music and all the emotions you gave us. There are no words strong enough to express my gratitude and my sorrow at the same time. A big hug to his family. Your music will remain forever. Antonello Catta

  • Just to get noticed as a bassplayer is difficult - to have the impact that he had proves how unique his talent was. The 80's produced such stars as this - I mourn the passing of the 80's and Mick - you were an inspiration!!

  • its very accomplished but leaves me feeling cold, cant really get into it

  • Very talented musician and such a distinct style. RIP Mick.

  • A true bass legend. His work with Japan and Gary Numan was truly exceptional. He won't be forgotten.

  • RIP MICK im so sorry,,,,,

  • Addio Mick...ci mancherai.

  • The eye makeup is hot y'all

  • R.I.P Mick.

  • Mick Karn R.I.P .. so sad ...

  • @lemsta007 I agree. I'm devastated. =/
