I have a few questions. Do the fishes eat the roots of the plants?
How do you address the need of the roots to be oxygenated? In aquaponics, they usually fill the grow beds with fish tank water and then quick flush.
Last question, in order for mosquitoes not to breed in the fish tank, the water has to be continuously aggetated by bubbles or the flushing of the water back to the fish tank or pond. How do you address this problem with your system?
@InfomastermindNet i know that the fish would probably eat any mosquito larvae that grows on top, the roots are oxygenated with airstones at the bottom of the pond, the water has to be changed less often
Do you feed fish? Do you add any other nutrients? What kind of banana tree is that - full size or drawf? Have you tried other fruit trees? How do you plant the tomatoes and other veggies? thank you, it is a beautiful pond and very inspiring.
look up on google aquaponics, aeroponics, hydroponics ete you will descover the full working of all these methods which grow free food and you also have some where to enjoy also look up some data on plumbing with simple pipe work ......good luck
i have been studying for months, but your setup is totally different then most. No one grows trees or has everything in floating pond like you do. I know it is basic float ideal, like commerical, but more involved. My guess is yes you feed fish and also add nutrients. It looks like you have monitor system to keep balances in the pond. I know the fish do not supply all, but most. You must also have some kind of filter, due to no substrate. thanks
do you get problems with mosquito's laying eggs in your pond

I am very amazed at your aquaponic system.

Ni hao. Great garden.. is it hard finding a roof that is strong enough to support a large pond and garden?

因為水只有20公分深而已,水的重量應該比任何土壤更輕。 Dr.eye: Because water is 20 centimeters deep, the weight of water should be lighter than any soil.

You're kidding me. Wow. That's amazing.
Even soil designed for roofs gardens? (soil with coarse sand and slate, made to be lighter)

One last quick questions
Can you keep ducks in the pond, as a fertilizer source, or is their poop toxic/unhealhty?
and, what area of China/Taiwan are you in?

That is beautiful!! I simply hadn't thought of making the pond look pleasant, just do plants. Thank you very much for uploading!
