To me, this is proof that the Ramones invented the punk sound. You can argue that it goes back earlier, but the punk rock sound started here! The Pistols never invented it and neither did the NY Dolls. The attitude of punk may go back to the 60's with the Stooges and MC5 etc. but no doubt about it, The Ramones started it all off.

They actually changed the lyrics to their own song. On the first album, the lyrics go "I'm a storm trooper in a stupor, yes I am. I'm a Nazi schatze know I fight for the fatherland." Here Joey is clearly saying, "I'm a Nazi baby, I'm a Nazi yes I am." Why they changed it I don't know. Now that I think of it, this "rehearsal footage" must precede the album (Johnny isn't playing through a Marshall yet), so this might be an earlier version of the song.
