  • ''But I haven't heard the word Ethics-''

    ''- Okay, Ethics!''

Hah, I love Franken. Also, the prick he was talking to seemed to pretty witless. He seemed to be in awe that someone would come up with a witty retort so quickly.

  • moron John Fund.. what a right wing hit man for the corrupt elite..typical unethical corrupt scum ..u tell em Al....congress doesn't do anything their staff does.. congressmen are on the phone kissing up on rich people butt for money..corrupt republicans treat congress like a country club

  • Whats his name again Al Frogman? Sure looks like a frog.

  • RIP, Jack Murtha.

  • 69, good number for satanists, occultists, masons. Now, we have 2 good congressmen (after Murtha's death) Kucinich & Franken.

911 was a MEGA ritual. Do you think Al Franken knows the truth yet? or does he still believe in the fake planes and fake war on terror?

  • I guess the only way the people of MN thought they could top having a wrestler as their govenor was to vote in a freak as their senator.

  • Good one dude. Insightful yet hilarious comment. You really should look into politics or comedy as a profession.

  • Al Franken's a US senator now. Mark Levin & Rush Limbaugh & Fox News have big audiences, but we have Barack Obama as president, & big Democratic majorities in both houses of Congress. So it's obviously not true that this is a conservative country on balance. I think the success of conservative talkers & media depend on there not being too many of them, so that they don't get into a situation of too much conservative product chasing too few consumers.

  • Surly, with a landslide election bringing in a Democratic President to begin cleaning up the trainwreck left by the Republicans, of all their failures, is reassuring. But what chaos they left! 2 failed wars, a psuedo-Depression, a doubling of the national debt, a $1.3 trillion deficit on Jan 20th. And tens of millions out of their homes, jobs, and entire sectors of the economy underwater. The GOP were the arrogant and incompetent architects of this debacle. Theyre Anti-American terrorists!

  • @medartist01 Looks like the mess is getting messier huh dims? Wheres "the big summer of recovery"? LOL

  • 6:36

    LOL!!!

  • LOL - I guess that means your "nobody." Priceless. Thanks for the laugh.

  • guess again. i wouldnt be caught dead listening to airhead america. that being said, airhead america probably would kill my brain.

  • But you listened to it. And if nobody listens to this sh#@, then that means you're nobody - LOL.

  • well then so did you.

  • You are absolutely correct. However, I did not call my self "nobody" for watching it - LOL!!!

  • franken is being kind when he calls Fund "buddies" with the crooks in the Administration. He is worse. He is a lackey. He has no soul, and he's only spinning the truth in order to delay and frustrate any real change.

  • Fund is a shitheaded moron, who cares nothing about ethics

  • when do these 3 guys get together again? This John Doe needs to bring something to cover his butt hole next time so he doesn't just sit there and take it up the A-hole. On a second though, that was amusing. Don't bring anything, pal.

  • Once again, Mr. Franken rips a new one in those conservative assholes! Good for him!

  • Has Al Frankens '77 RV been towed from that public park yet?

  • Rush is a big fat drug addicted IDIOT!!!LOL

  • charlessmartel IS Rush!!! ..surprise you???

  • blueplanet rides on the short bus.

    Is anyone surprised?

    Were not!

  • pass

  • Hundreds of millions? Do you really believe that? You must be taking the same prescription drugs that that fat conservative troll is taking.

  • I remember watching this video when it came out, and had hope for the new Congress. I was happy at first, but now am dissapointed with this Congress.

  • Realize this Congress is dealing with people who do not want anything to happen because it will hurt them in 08

  • There's no point in arguing, especially with a dunce like CharlessMartel. Anyone still supporting the Republican party is either in denial or criminally uninformed. Seeing as how he praises Limbaugh, I'd say the latter is obviously the case.

  • People have always protested against authoritarian governments. You like this one, so you don't need to protest.

And as for Rush, he got out of Vietnam because of a boil.........on his butt.

And as for Communism, do you really know what it is? We trade with the last huge Communist country. What do you think of that?

  • The dems didnt do shit the first 100 hours or the last 100 hours.

All they care about is retaining power no matter what it cost.

  • hmm a hundred hours that like 5 days ( rounding up). Yeah a lot can surely get done in 100 hours. What did the republicans do in the first 100 hours. What have they done in the last EIGHT Years? Fuck americans is what.

  • Still.. they did SOMEthing.

  • yeah give them time something that republicans have had and have squandered

  • very good video 5 stars!

  • I got news for ya, Buddy -- Al was on! You, you and your buddies, your pals -- you were off!

  • Well, dems don't want to listen to terrorist, but want to talk radio hosts, to stop that - not terrorist. Want open borders and amnesty combined with handouts to them (paid for by us) to saturate the pop. w/ dem voters. Give birth control to 11yr w/o parent consent. Controlled our ed sys for decades, and look how bad it has become. Look at Calif. NY before Rudy. Democrat = decaying society.

  • huh? your short hand sucks. dude, the state of the country is caused by the people who have been in power for the last 7 years, the republicans. the dems haven't handed out birth control to 11 yr olds. that was the school district who had a teen preg explosion happen who did that get you facts straight

  • dude - I saw a report there was not a teen preg explosion there. Our education sys is controlled from the top down by liberal/left Dems. (overall in sys it reported apx 80% dems) They set and push the curriculum, agendas, and issues. My facts are straight. Do u think the conservatives (R) are the ones pushing condoms/bananas, no parental notification on pill & teen abortions, ect..?

  • '5 of the 134 students who visited King's health center during the 2006-07 school year reported having sexual intercourse,..". And, 1 preg reported - that's an explosion?

No - it's an agenda. Push free sex lifestyle. Just like the Co. school w/ lecturers saying have sex, take drugs, I'd even join you... there are too many examples to deny the liberal/left actions toward our youth.

  • "family friendly"... the GOP word for fat cats working the system! priceless!

  • THE PROBLEM WITH THE NEO-CONS(i AM Republican) is that they support a person (POTUS) rather than the U.S Constitution. They are intrusive (gays and abortion, no warrant wire taps ECT,) They want bigger gov't these neo-cons spend and have NOT balanced the budget in over 6 years of control. Clinton Balanced the budget. Neo cons had the white house AND the Congress and still no balanced budget.

  • air america never had a chance against the 2 radio giants who own the airwaves

  • I thought Air America relaunched. That's regardless when referring to Franken either because he's running, and the favorite, to win a Senate race in Minnesota.

  • Air America- BANKRUPT! END OF STORY!

  • Rush Limbaugh's TV show - BANKRUPT!!!!

Rush Limbaugh on Monday Night Football - FIRED!!!

Rush Limbaugh's Line of Ties - NO ONE'S BUYING!!!

Rush Limbaugh's Pill Addiction - DEPRAVED!!!

Rush Limbaugh's Possession of Drugs - ARRESTED!!!!

    Rush LImbaugh's Maid - BLACKMAILED!!!!

Rush Limbaugh's Ass - HUGE FAT!!!

Rush Limbaugh - STILL A INCREDIBLE, INCREDIBLE SUCCESS!!!!

    END OF STORY?

  • Rush Limbaugh- Fat drug addicted idiot.

  • @zmgriffith Scair America: defunct !!!!!!!!!! Rush Limbaugh: still telecasting from the golden EIB mike. Bwaaaaa haaaa haaa ha ha ha ha

  • @vintagevic1 Rush will always appeal to the crowds of men with tiny, tiny penises.

  • @zmgriffith Huh never thought of it that way. I guess its b/c i dont subscribe to NPR radio, oh i forgot they bombed out like the USS Cole.

  • Meaning -

The failure of Air America had nothing to do with Al Franken and will in no way affect him going forward. Stop jumping up and down on a dead horse.

  • I love Al Franken.

  • Too bad Al Franken is an anti-

    American loser!

  • Yeah, because critisizing our government in a democracy is anti-american. Dissent and disagrement are the life's blood of human liberty.

  • amen

  • Your a dick, Just wait, when it's time for you to collect your pension or s.s. their won't be any money left, what's the intrest on 14 trillon?

  • Yes, Liberal = Anti-American in W's World. So does the word "Secular." So is anyone from New England. It's amazing how many Americans are Anti-American these days...

  • Agreed. Also, what is passing for "American" these days would have been considered "Anti-American" in the America I grew up in. We are becoming the "evil" we used to describe as the USSR during the Cold War, when I was a child.

  • listen to the piece of shit matthews laugh at al's so called jokes, and then attack John Fund and completely agree with al franken..and guess what?..almost everything franken said has been proven false and most of what Fund said came true.

  • really? I want you to prove that they were false. It is easy to sit there and say "they were proven false" period which is typical republican style. You don;t use that statement and get away with it when you talk to people that use their brains.

  • Al Frankin for US Senate 2008! :)

  • Has Clinton commented on Sandy Berger and those documents relating to the 9/11 investigation? Someone must have asked him something. Seems like a big deal to me.

  • The crooks ARE his BUDDIES! Republicans put their credibility on the line by asserting that they always know best, and then when everything goes pear shaped they don't want to take personal responsibility.

  • Well I did some research earlier and found there were some differing numbers on it. Some web sites said 33 some 37 Clintonistas convicted some more. Your list includes people not in the administration or low level staffers, people who have minor convictions for like shoplifting ect. And none of the websites I found even metioned Clinton's Press secrectary who was convicted of DUI. So I'll get you a list of convicts later when I have time.

  • head-counting doesn't really prove anything especially when you start digging into entry-level staffers which top level officials do not have control over. What is apparent is that this administration do not even blink if they appoint INCOMPETENT individuals like Brown who had no experience in disaster relief. Nomination of White House Atty. Gonzales to Attorney-General OF THE PEOPLE not of the president.

  • Clinton even had a REPUBLICAN Secretary of defense because to his judgment Cohen was the MOST COMPETENT FOR THAT JOB. You think Bush would appoint a democrat as cabinet secretary?

  • Yeah, his name is Norm Mineta.

  • John you and your"buddies" are a bunch of DeeDeeDee's

  • 1. The joke wasnt ideological but satire on the way political debates on these type of shows are done.

    2. It was hilarious

  • No wonder Air America tanked!

  • that's all you have to say? Do you even know that Air America is still on the air? Listen to other TV stations not just to the F station.

  • Need I say more!

  • John Fund is an idiot! LOL!!!

  • I thought Al Frankenstein was supposed to be a comedian? This is about the 20th clip of him I've found on you tube and I still haven't found one thing he has said funny in any way. If he is as good at being a democrat canidate for the US senate, you democrats are in big trouble.

  • this guy is very funny. I think you and John are just not getting, SoulM811962. Look at the cplips again old buddy.

  • Chris Matthews couldn't stop laughing, SoulM. This was so funny...LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • I watched the clip again, still not funny. Chris Mattews laughter at the end seemed to be fake too. He is nothing compared to Ann Coulter, who is not a comedian.

  • okay, SoulM, we'll just have to disagree. Oh, and Coulter is a commedian (she/he just doesn't know it), but everything she says is funny too. Only difference is she/he is a hateful person. With Franken it's all in good fun, never hateful towards others. But this Video is hilarious, man. I just watched it again. LOL!

  • Typically, watching a clip that's intended to be humorous a second time won't yield a different result; jokes are usually funniest the first time. That laugh by Chris, by the by, was not even close to being fake; Matthews simply has a funny laugh to go with his funny accent. As far as your not liking it, that's your view and something I'm not about to argue. I just wanted to correct the first two points.

  • It's not just this video, it's everyone I could find with Al Franken. The dude is just not funny at all. I've seen all Franken on many venues over the years, I can't remember one funny thing he has ever said. He's a pathetic comedian for whom one could almost feel sorry.

  • Okay, that's fine. I think you missed the point of my reply -- I'm not going to argue about how funny he is because it's a stupid argument that no side can win anyway. The point was that Matthews simply has a funny kind of laugh and clearly wasn't faking. If you don't find him funny, more power to you. I find him pretty funny.

  • and yet he stomps coulter, o'reilly and hannity at every turn. every turn.

  • Sure he doesn't slam watermelons with a huge wooden hammer, but to each his own.

  • Soulman my man,

what is funny to you? when bush did his "there are no weapons over here...weapons over there" because a lot of his ase laughed at it. I bet the family members of more than 3,0000 americans who died it Iraq found that funny too.

  • Man Franken cracks me up

  • Hahahahahaha buddies. Lol.

  • LOL franken rules.

  • and of course, democrats did instute a 5 day work week, and republicans ended up whining about it.

  • Good luck to Al Franken in his bid for the Senate. LOL. What a moron!

  • What was so moronic about what he said? Or is that just a general insult that has no correlation to the video?

  • Where do I begin? For argument's sake, let us say that Al Franken is miraculously voted into the Senate. How effective do you think he would be after he inferred that all Republicans are corrupt. That is as moronic as someone claiming that all Democrats are corrupt. Did we watch the same video? How do you defend his moronic claim?

  • Let's take a look. Al Franken is a comedian. He admitted that the "His friends, his buddies," line was a joke, twice. Yes, he thinks there's a lot of corruption on the Republican side -- everyone knows that. It's can be the price of power. But it's not a comment meant to be taken seriously; I had a good laugh. Furthermore, when he was serious, I couldn't find much stupid about him.

  • No, let's look at Al Franken the potential candidate for Senator of Minnesota. What a joke! If you think that Republicans have a monopoly on corruption, then you are seriously naive. By your own logic, those that are in power are corrupt. Let me ask you this, were the Democrats corrupt when Clinton was in the White House? Of course, you will never admit to that. I bet you were one of those people who voted for that other joker, Howard Dean, during the last presidential primaries.

  • Wow, lmao. I said his comment was funny, and now you know my life story and what I will and won't admit to. I said the corruption on the Republican side came with the price of power. Everyone knew the Republicans were very corrupt, and they lost because of that. 12 years of being in power did that. It's a fact. As far as Franken, yes it was funny, and I had a good laugh. That's about all that needs to be said.

  • Power has the potential to corrupt any politician regardless of his/her political affiliation. Will you agree to that statement?

  • This is why you're stubborn. What is so indecipherable about, "[Corruption] can be the price of power." I went over this from the beginning; you're just trying to find something to argue about. Try to stop guessing voting habits and stop going off on tangents about my "bias" from my amusement of Franken's comments. Your ability to make a mountain out of a molehill is startling.

  • When did I even start guessing what people's voting habits are? You're the one who claimed to know what "everyone" knew when they went to the polls, not me. My point is that Democrats are not immune to being corrupted. Why do you find it so difficult to agree to that statement? =D

  • If you want to talk about a joke, your reply is. You're making a huge stink about nothing. Everyone was laughing at the comments, and Chris Matthews got an especially hearty laugh at the end. The comments were absurd? A lot of funny things said are funny because of the hyperbole of it all or because of the "absurdity" of it. He said flat-out during the interview that he was busting the guy's balls; that really should be enough for you. Or are you going to go on another stubborn tirade?

  • Stubborn tirade? You are as funny as Al Franken. Like I said in my original post, good luck to your boy, Al Franken, in his bid for the Senate. LOL. I'm laughing at the absurdity of that notion.

  • Yes, stubborn tirade. And here you go again, making a mountain out of a molehill. When you figure out the technique you used of figuring out my life story through my comments here, let me know.

  • When you figure out the technique you used to figure out what "everyone" knows or does not not know, come talk to me. That technique could come in handy.

  • And you wonder why I say you go on stubborn tirades and make mountains out of molehills. The corruption in the Republican party was pretty much well-covered and is one of the reasons why they lost. Now, if you're going to go into semantics and diction and berate me on the word 'everyone,' then you have no right to be ridiculing other people's statements as absurd. =D

  • I am not arguing your point that the perceived corruption in the Republican party is partly the reason whey they lost seats in the House and Senate. My point is that power has the potential to corrupt anyone - regardless of political affiliation. Yes, even Democrats. Do you agree with that statement? Let's not even talk about semantics. I know what the word "is" is.

  • "My point is that power has the potential to corrupt anyone - regardless of political affiliation. Yes, even Democrats. Do you agree with that statement?" Replies like this make it evident that you haven't read a lick of what I've said. You see my reply that starts with "This is why you're stubborn." Then get back to me.

  • You and I both know what's going on here. You don't want to use the word "Democrat." I have you cornered, and the best thing you can come up with is "this is why you're stubborn." It's evident to me that Stuart Smalley's balls are bigger than yours. Get back to me when you grow one.

  • If you want to look at it that way, sure. But from my vantage point, you are desperate to hear me use the word, and why give you the immature satisfaction when I've already explained myself from the second reply? That shows a level of belligerence, stubbornness, and immaturity on your part, and nothing but, "Hey, I already said what I needed to say," on mine. Once again, you made yourself look like an ass and did nothing to me. ;)

  • It's funny that a little verbal jousting got your panties all up in a bunch. Be the bigger man and walk away. =D I'm done toying with you. Psssttt...your party's mascot is an ass. LOL!

  • "I'm done toying with you." Well, that explains why it was so hard to get through to you! Your last sentence really closes this off on an ironic note. Thank you for proving ignorance begets confidence. =)

  • You didn't get it. Why am I not surprised? Resist the urge, Frightwolf. =D

  • Thanks for showing your true colors. I knew you'd snap eventually.

  • Regardless, you prove me right either way. Either you can't read, which explains why you had to ask me, literally, to repeat myself, or you're giddy to start something, which explains why, again, you're anxious to hear me repeat myself. If that's what gets you off, then more power to you. Quite an odd procedure for arousal, but if it brings you pleasure, what can I say?

  • We wouldn't be having this discussion if I couldn't read, now would we? It kills you to admit that you lost the argument. Don't worry, I won't ask you to admit it. You and I already know.

  • Lost what argument? The only argument was that Al was presumably stupid. Then you repeated my statements and was an eager beaver to hear the word "Democrats" used. Like I said, if that's what gets you off, that's fine. But I won't take part in that.

  • Then walk away, Frightwolf. Be the bigger man. Prove that you are "mature." No, you can't resist. Too funny!

  • Wait, I thought you were done with me? Oh, the irony of it all.

  • Anybody heard the phrase "people who live in glass houses..."? Attacking people who might have voted for that "joker" Howard Dean, when you've got George W. Bush as president. I mean, George W. Bush! Whose every move is either comical or tragic or both.

  • He didn't "infer" - he "implied". And he didn't even imply it about all Republicans.

  • Yes, of course. The fact that Al Franken implied, rather than inferred, makes his statement a little less insulting. FYI - the words "infer" and "imply" mean the same thing.

  • No they don't. If you imply something, you're making a suggestion to someone else. To infer, means to gather the information and come to a conclusion within yourself. They are incorrectly used interchangably. Look them up in a dictionary if you don't believe me. And the entire point of his repeated references to "your buddies" was that it was a joke. Notice the laughter of all three people in the clip.

  • They were laughing at the absurdity of his statement. Please check the dictionary yourself. I already did.

  • Imply and infer do not mean the same thing.

  • That's exactly right. Now if you could teach people the difference between "uninterested" and "disinterested"...

  • Xpan,

Did he really infer that ALL Republicans are corrupt? So John Fund hangs out with ALL republicans then? Anyway Al's effectiveness will be based on his background as a Harvard grad, written a lot of books on politics - mostly about how the right-wing is destroying this country. He will be a genuine outsider - a term even ronald reagan used except that his objective was to prove that the government doesn't work rather than to make it work.

  • i know that when you guys think of comedians you think of Larry the cable guy. I think Al Franken probably uses a few more brain cells than Larry.

  • I think its the latter. Typical right wing response: let's call people names and not discuss the issues. I see this over and over again.

  • Al franken is one testicle short of a ball sack!

  • Wow.. that was funny.. LMAO

  • chris matthews laughed in his face lol

  • -Al franken buddys in the Clinton Administration

    - Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates

    - Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify

    - Most number of witnesses to die suddenly

    - First president sued for sexual harassment.

    - First president accused of rape.

    - First first lady to come under criminal investigation

    - First president to be held in contempt of court

    - First president disbarred from the US Supreme Court and a state court

  • That's quite a list, and still not enough to prevent him from being one of the best presidents we've ever had.

  • "- Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates"

I think Bush passed Clinton on this list a while back, plus of course Nixon is virtually out of reach. On indictments Bush is waaaay ahead of Clinton.

  • And Clinton is STILL a better president than Bush could ever dream of! He beat his daddy, too :)

  • That is a boldface lie. Scooter libby is the only one and I can name 10 Clitonistas who have convictions. By the way Libby's will be overturned on appeal because the conviction is bogus.

  • Bush administration officials who have been convicted or indicted: Libby, Safavian, Foggo, Griles, Crawford, Claude Allen, Doyle, Stilwell. Plus of course Goodling who took the 5th, and Ralston who resigned under a cloud. This list doesn't include GOP congressmen such as Delay, Ney, Doolittle, Lewis, Renzi, etc. (Or their aides.) Go to TPMmuckraker(dot)com and click on "Grand Old Docket."

Let's see your list of Clinton administration officials indicted or convicted.

  • That list doesn't even include Bush administration officials who were found guilty of crimes prior to ever WORKING for the Bush administration.

  • What do you want from me, Caveman? How much can a guy do using only 500 letters? (elliott abrams)

  • Well, four days and no answer, SoulM, naming 10 Clinton admin. officials convicted. So here's my complete list:

HUD Secretary cisneros, guilty of misstating to the F.B.I. the amount of money he gave his girlfriend; Assistant AG Hubbell convicted of embezzling funds from the Rose Law Firm. Ag. Sec. Michael Espy was indicted but acquitted on all charges.

So that's ONE convicted during presidency, ONE convicted for earlier crime, ONE indicted and acquitted.

  • FYI, SoulM, former Rove exec. assistant Susan Ralston just announced she was going to take the 5th if asked about communication between the White House and Jack Abramoff.

    They just keep coming...

  • That's quite the list - glad to see the GOP had so much free time to investigate!!

Isn't it time to construct a list for the current president?

  • newtonbrook: none of those statements are factual. If you disagree with me, why don't you prove them and present where you heard or read them.

  • can you educate me on these especially on the "MOST number of"? or did you just pick this up from some desperate right wing site? Because I can easily refer you to site(s) that enmerates the list for Bush.
