Dennis Waterman is a great British TV star. Thank you for the rich archive material you left us generations to paw over. This is a gold mine of past British life which was so much richer in culture.
Okay, I stand corrected. In between this and The Sweeney, he starred in lots of other things like the movie Fright, cop show Special Branch and a tense episode of Thriller.
how come women used to speak like ladies in the 60s and talk like blokes these days

And it still matters

Dennis Waterman, probably the worst actor you will ever see. He was already very bald in that dated series The Sweeney.

@JuanMacready The Sweeney was made in the 70's, of course it's "dated".

I have this one on DVD. Dennis Waterman gave a terrific performance as Peter. Couple of years later, he was in THE SWEENEY.

Dennis Waterman was so beautiful when he was younger. This is a brilliant film, a real slice of 60s life.

@superretrochick1 Yes, he was.....until he started losing his hair in his mid-20s

@puppi3000
That's a shallow comment...he couldn't help losing his hair and it didn't make him any uglier...get a grip will you?
