  • hey u 2, stop sweatin the pickgard, and check out the tune

  • shit on my chest

  • @Johnofo what the f is your problem?'sh*t on my chest'? are you kidding me?

  • god bless that tone.

  • This is such a cool tune! LAB sure had one sexy-ass voice on this cut. Yowza!!!!

  • wow this is rare thanks a heap tex

  • Sounds great! Which strat is that in the picture?

  • Lou Ann's voice is a great complement to Stevie's playing. I guess they were quite the volatile couple, and the chemistry was too exposive to last. When you have two talents trying to outdo each other all the time, the audience is the winner.

  • I bet his early balding and loss of his groovy hair is what eventually led to all the awesome hats!

  • I've had this album forever. Lots of great stuff including Tina Nina Nu, Sugar Coated Love, You Can Have My Husband, some sliding around on Will My Man Be Home Tonight. Lou Ann sounds great with Stevie Ray, but of course, he was even better on his own. The album even has a cut from SRV's band Cast of Thousands, from 1971, where he lays down a smoking solo on an otherwise awful song.

  • i've ebay searched for it, googled, amazon and hmv searched, can't find it anywhere for sale! found a couple torrents but they failed to open after downloading! anybody know where i can buy this?

  • @thevuduchild Try ebay. Occasionally people put his stuff on there.

  • This was a Lou Ann Barton release and SRV played on about half the tracks, not on vocals though. It was pulled a short time after release and been under litigation since. However, I did buy this almost the day of release and have enjoyed it. SRV was young and always sounded the same, never really heard SRV getting better over time, he was awesome from his humble beginnings.

  • This is not a Lou Ann Barton release. Some time after this (I think 1979) she got solo and than a couple of years later Stevie played on her record release party. Stevie along with Chris and Tommy (before him was Jack Newhouse) made Double Trouble. This is known as Stevie's first "lost" album, that unfortunately never got released.

  • stevie's came a long way

  • Even back then his tone was already in place.

  • At first i was weary of that not being The MAN Mr. SRV, but dam after listening i think im convinced that it is. Great Stuff, I Had Little Hope that There was still some Stevie to be heard out there, glad to know that there is

  • As huge of a fan as i am of the Vaughan bros. i never knew that little Stevie had a "Greaser" moment ......too cool !

  • God I freakin love this song. It gets the bood goin... Tap that foot!

  • GREAT !!!...TY for posting!!!!!!!!

  • I didn't know this early album existed.

    woee.

  • OMG is that the number one with white pickguard!?

  • That what my first thought. And yes, I am quite sure that it is.

  • @pufforosso Yep thats number one !

  • @pufforosso It looks like th number one...I think it IS number one with its original pickguard and bridge...

  • @StevieRayMatt Not the original bridge, that one is already reversed, check the whammy bar

  • Lou Ann Barton is phenominal

  • Album is called First Thunder with Lou Ann Barton singing...

  • i never knew that this album existed and i have been a giant SRV fan for 16 years.

  • Beautifuls pieces of musics! great!
