It's too tiresome. I sped through it in about 3 hours everytime I had to newly unlock the Handcannon. It's fun, but too stressful to pull of each strategy for the various stages perfectly. I leave that to others.

People ask this frequently, the answer is always the same: watch videos here on YouTube. You will see strategies for every stage, practice those and 60K points will be easily achieved.

We both play the village eerily similar to each other lol. I do a few things different, like grabbing the shot gun the second time through the main part of the village before unlocking to door to the tunnel and selling it for some extra peseta or using a flash bang at the large group of crows to get some peseta. Also at the end if you walk up the hill facing the door, the villagers will not come out, giving you time to break the barrels towards the top for some ammo and a velvet blue. Nice guide

Having a Rocket Launcher against certain bosses is a good idea, but I would NOT get it for Mendez. His fight is 2-phased, and both can be EASILY knifed (or, to be faster, shot down), it would be a total waste of pesetas.

For Salazar: Hell yeah! If you still have the one you got on your way to save Ashley, good. If not, buying one would be smart. :)

For this specific El Gigante, the terrain is just too annoying to fight him, and besides:

I have more than enough pesetas throughout the whole run. If you only upgrade what's necessary, you will have enough for luxury items aswell (like Rocket Launchers against certain enemies).

Don't know how often you have to die, and the second matter depends on the version. If it's a PAL5 one, you got the option to choose between 5 languages.

are you using the fire to burn mendez? i dont understand why he died in 1 shot after moving him around the same spot

I used that fire barrel before on him, plus I shot him a couple of times with the Red9, which has a firepower of 6.5. The fire you see doesn't do anything to him. He just had little health left, which was gone with that last shot. :D

Mendez can be EASILY knifed, try to learn it, it will definitely pay off.

If you don't want to risk it, then you can use the standard shotgun. Each blast will stun him in his first form, and if you have some ammo left, his first form is easily defeated.

For his second form, you can either shoot him with the handgun or knife him. There are tricks for knifing both of his forms. Trust me, it's really easy (especially form 2).

But the El Gigante path is way shorter and poses much less of a threat. If you follow what I do here (you don't even have to shoot the chains or the rock), you should be able to out-run him. Train it if you fail and you will be successful.

Oh. Well, I've seen many videos about various strategies for this game. There are plenty good ones for Mendez. It's better to knife him though, saves a LOT of ammo and is ridiculously easy once you got the hang of it.

Definitely the right path, as you can just leave El Gigante behind. The other path features way too many ganados to defeat, among them the Bella Sisters. You have to make the decision on your own. After you learned to "play" with your enemies, meaning you know how to abuse the AI and gamecoding, it's just as easy as the right one, but features more ammo and pesetas.

Buy a Rocket Launcher and BOOOOOM him up! If you dont have the cash for that, just fill him with ammo and grenades. Thats it.

That's totally up to you. I don't need it, since it only wastes space in my inventory and I never use it. That's why I don't pick it up. All I need is a handgun to get to the part where you can buy the Striker to access the Ditman glitch. That's the only shotgun I personally get.

Well, you either get them as random drops from enemies or you just have to save as many as you need. There's no special way of getting grenades beside collecting them during the storyline.

Coudl, but isn't, since they are easy to knife, and if there are several zealots/ganados around, the punisher won't help you that much either, since you can't really focus on the shielded enemies. Just trigger a kick when you are surrounded to make shield bearers lose it.

red9 is the best handgun period! the red9 is as strong as the striker (without the strikers power being upgraded) the red9's power is 6.5 the blacktails power is only 4.5

red9 = power. blacktail = speed. punisher = both...but the punisher's firepower sucks the handgun is better then the punisher.

The punisher is just not worth it, who needs to penetrate 5 bodies, where situations to hit 5 ganados are DAMN rare O_o

The handgun makes a fun "Only" run with its critical headshots. I am currently doing a Handgun Only run (upgraded), and the funny thing I found out is: Not only is the chance of BLOWING heads higher, you may only need 1 slash with the knife to kill ganados when aimed at the head.... O_o

No, seriously, I never get a shotgun before the striker, because I need the free space and I don't need it anyway. The rifle here was just for making the cart part easier, since it's quite hard to aim with the laser. Therefor, after its shots are gone, I discard it for some space in my case ;-)

No. As I said in another video, the shotgun wastes too much space in my case. I need that for additional herbs/grenades/ammo. And 10K Pesetas ain't that much anyway, since I don't buy/upgrade too much (I always end up with plenty of money left).
