The Becker, hands down. The Cooley is NOT a distortion pedal, but an overdrive. If you want gain then you need to look at the Becker.

i think shredding can be one of the greatest and worst things. I love shredding and just goin all out, but jesus, you cant just sweep pick over and over just picking pattern after pattern or you turn into this robot. Dimebag Darrell, he could shred like a motherfucker, but he had some soul, he wasnt just going over his scales at 3400 bpm
