You have to beat the game 4 times in a row with the knife only and then at the end of the fourth run, Nemesis is the last boss instead of the spider guy. If you can beat him, he's yours. He's hella tough, though.

no you have to beat it 5 times in a row with only the pistol to get the special thermal goggles, then in the boss fights you can use them to attack invisible tentacles with your knife.

no it can be any mode, the battery of the goggles last's longer if you do it in prof though so you won't have to keep buying new batterys from the merchant. The normal battery is about 2 miniutes

the prof batter is around 6
